Hi Neotrader,

Tanks for your recent indicator. The idea to test a combination of different rules is really excellent.
Do you think it is possible to manage one rule for detecting 2 EMA (1 fast & 1 slow) crossing, then comparing it to TMA level ? If not, do you think in a future version that it would be possible to link one rule to an external indi and explore its results for further comparaisons with TMA or other values ?

You're welcome...but I must admit that the original idea was not from me. I borrowed and adapted it from the Ducks Indicator that was developed by TIG.

If you look for the Ducks Indicator that must be in one of aussiedocs threads (I think aussiedocs 4 Ducks or something similar) you can use the Ducks Indicator that already has an MA cross implemented.

Since this is only a small subset of my main Ruletester that has over 17 Rules implemented (also MA crosses) it wouldn't be a problem...but this indicator is meant for TMA based research and therefor I don't think that I will implement the MA here.

You already can read the Values of my Indicator if you want...If you open the Data window you will see that there are 5 Indicator Buffers per Rule ...only three are used in this indicator. one for sell(buffer4), buy(buffer2) and neutral/range(buffer3).

I have been enjoying your MTF indicator. When I originally set it up, it plotted as a thick orange line. Recently I tried the setup suggested by spotdespot, but when I drag a copy of the indicator to the window it only plots as a thin black line. I have tried to change the colors and line styles by editing the properties for the indicator, but it still plots as a thin black line.

Any suggestions?

One additional point. I have the window set up on auto time frame (the time frame parameter is blank). I note however, that if I put in a time frame it plots a thick orange line. And I can't change the color.

Try to delete the indicator from the chart and apply it again...if this doesn't help delete the indicator from your indicator folder and download it again...

OK I deleted the indicator and downloaded a new copy, but it still does the same thing. If I drag it to the price window and set the "timescale" to blank it sets up a new window with a thin black line. If I go back and change the timescale to M15 it changes to a thick orange line. And it stays that way even if I delete the timeframe parameter again.

I'm not using a template. Is there one I should know about?

OK I finally figured it out. If you want to overlay a new TMA slope with a different color and different parameters here is what you have to do.

Drag the indicator to the window and delete the timeframe parameter. It will plot as a think black line.

Open up the indicator properties and under the inputs scroll down to the colors. Change the orange one to one you want and go back and put an arbitrary value in the timeframe.

The line will now change color to the new color. Now go back and delete the timeframe parameter and it will be set to the timeframe of the window.

you should use 0 as the value for timeFrame if you want to show the value for the current chart timeframe and want it to switch every time you switch the TF of the chart.

I just leave it blank. It seems to do the same thing. Is that ok?
