I am looking forward to updating the TMA. I think 10.2a will be the easiest to understand and trade but I still am not satisfied with the TMA in conjunction with it. Working on that part on and off but mostly off. Would be willing to exchange ideas on that on.

In you absence there was much talking going on about the TMA.

A great Part was about Slope Level(Value) and Slope Direction. We have a whole Thread dedicated to this topic that you can find here.

Another Topic was the combination of the TMA with an MA based on the TMA and using the cross of them as signal. This topic is also discussed in the Thread I linked above.

If you have questions about this topics it would be great if we discuss it there.

The Indicator I developed enables you to create rules for all three TMA signals (Level, Angle (Direction) and TMA&MA cross) and also for the Pivot constellations. So it is easier to do research and analysis of the different approaches.

After having read all posts in your thread, I now consider myself pretty well versed in your 10.2 system. I must congratulate you once more for another great accomplishment. You have the rare ability of non dispersion in your thought process. You have been able again, to masterfully layer your new ideas on top of your previous work. Your 10-2a system is elegant, deep and transparent at the same time, reflecting the same qualities as the source from which it evolves.

As for Battle scarred veterns like you and me, we exchange tales of blown live accounts and the folly of high expectations in public, hoping to dissuade others repeating our mistakes. Alas, this seems to be an initiation journey that everyone must go through.

When I first found FF, I found a post by a Grizzled Old FF Vet that said, in effect, that Real Traders have blown at least three accounts.

"Naahhh" thought I. "No way will I blow my one account, never mind at least three."

5 accounts later, I have finally stopped blowing them. I suspect that any newbie reading this will think, "Naahh...................."

It always seems sooooo easy to start with. Then it takes a few years...................

Any newbs happening to be lucky enough to be reading this and intelligent enough to take any notice: I started trading in 2006; Astral started in 2008; it has taken us a while to come to grips with all this; it will take you less time if you take some notice of us and follow 10.2 as though you life depends upon it. The choice is yours.

The message cannot be clearer and I totally concur. I've tried many things and failed and like many people I thought "give it another go". This time I feel extremely lucky to have found NB10.2. Considering how much money I've paid for other rubbish systems, I want to express a big "THANK YOU to Bob and Steve and other contributors to this system. You guys are extraordinarily generous.

On Steve's note about blowing 5 accounts, I've only blown 1 account but I can't remember how many times I topped it up . I've learnt to be wiser with my trading though.

I've printed all documents related to NB10.2 and bind them into a book and will use it as my trading bible.

Hi Steve, thanks for stopping by. School starts Monday here in China and it is Saturday time at the office printing out worksheets and doing lesson plans. School has changed a lot for us. We lost over 60% of our students from last year but picked up enough new students to keep the school alive. We rented out 1/3 of our school space to other businesses so we are profitable again for now. China added to the visa laws again this year and made it more difficult. We decreased our staff by letting 3 people go. One went back to the USA and got a job at another International school in China but cant get a visa to return for now. That school has 6 teachers they cant get into the country. For us it is just my wife and I and we have our visas until next summer. Our Lease will be up then and then ........................ Anyway, I will teach grades 1-4 and my wife will teach 5-8. We will each have an assistant to help. We had to close our high school because we only had one student left. They will come to our school for the social interaction but all their classes will be online. We used to provide about half the subjects with live teachers and the other half was online. So I run two one room classrooms now, it will be a challenge but we are still alive and kicking after a very trying year. So lesson plans and talk forex online. Should be a great year, I hope............

just joining today...Come across your currencyslopestrength indicator and it really seems very good (although the repaint one can't be used for backtest purpose). So i type on google and I came to the original thread and will try to read through the forum. Wish my brain luck LOL...there are lots of colour here.
