hi APQN,

I set my lot size to 0.02 and risk percent to 2. For some reasons the lot size taken by the EA was 0.1 on both trades. I can't really explain why.

Also, if we specify the lot size and the Risk Percent at the same time in the EA, they may be in conflict. So which information would the EA use?

If you set any value other then 0 in RiskPercent the lotsize is calculated on the Risk Percent setting.

If you want to use a fixed lotSize make your lotsize setting in the Parameter Lot and set RiskPercent to 0.

See also what I explained in Page 5 about RecoveryVirtualStop setting that could be used againist you I usually have it set to 100 and that's how it will be in the default release. It occurs to me now that should have gone to page 1. I am not just very experienced with running this kind of thing and such hiccups could occur. Apologies.

k guys my humble 2 cents...

im gonna try and backtest this babyyyyy....i do think backtesting is some what important at least to know wre the assumptions can be broken .


also have we thought of comparing them with the indexs as well lets say usdx and eur..... futures..and options

surely there must be some correlation here

I notice that you are still on Version 1.0. There have been bug fixes after that so untill you get the latest version, it is difficult to tell since we are not on the same page. You need to upgrade and then see if you get this problem.

Backtesting will not work well due to the repainting nature of TMA Slope. If you use Daily candles for backtest for example, the 4HR TMA Slope value will be wrong and vice versa.

The only way backtest would work is by using TMA True for the Slope. I saw that in one of the Indicators here somewhere and it wouldn't be difficult to do in this EA. The only thing I think will change is the reading of the TMA Slope values. +/- 8 should become +/- 6. That is something in the TODO list.

I think the problem is "To run the EA, you will need the attached 10.2 indi's in your Indicators folder. You do not need them on your chart."

The EA keeps trying to enter long trades on EurUsd and GbpUsd when it is obvious that they are breaking down to the downside. If I close them, it reenters again so that is no solution. I now have the EAs set to Only Short, but I keep getting error messages telling me it is not allowed to go long. What do you guys do to handle this problem?

Just got back from work and checking my trades.

I've got 3 trades opened last night (Aus time) and no new trades overnight.

I configured the EA to move stoploss to BE after 30pips in profit but it doesn't appear to work on all 3 trades. My stop is still 300pips away. I wonder if this is because the SL is hidden.

I use Multi Purpose Trade Manager to move my stops up but it doesn't seem to work either. Any help is appreciated.

Aud/Usd +75 pips
Usd/Chf -40 pips (should have been stopped out at BE if the stop loss was moved as configured)
Aud/Cad +32 pips

I've attached my set file if anyone is interested in having a look.

P.S: Closed the platform and re-open and stop loss on AU moved 61 pips (don't know why 61 ) but Stoploss on AC stayed where it was and a new trade was opened on Aud/Chf. Totally confused.

I haven't the slightest idea which is the setting you are reffering to. I tried looking for an extern like that but I can't find one. What's the actual name?
