I think it has to do with your account balance, lots per hundred dollars or something like that. I typically use the percent $ risk per equity or balance to figure out the position size. There seem to be lots of EA's that place trades based on the size of the account as in so many lots per so many hundred dollars. The percent model used the entry and stop to determine position size. Look in the code and see what its doing when that's turned on, if you dont code, take a look anyways!

Have you considered using Bollinger bands as described in the "All Start" entry? Sam has a webinar describing this method. When price goes into a zone he looks for price to pierce the bands, meaning it has rapidly approached the zone.
