I think you misunderstood Zool. They ARE D1/H4 trend trades for me. I always have comments shown.Zool wrote:If you right click in the terminal window in Empty4 where you can see the open trades, and then click on the "Comments" menu item to have a checkmark next to it, you can see the trade comments in the terminal window - the comments show what kind of trade the EA opened: D1 trend, D1/H4 trend, WPC range.

I said "I believe" just because I can't know whats going on on your Empty4.matt_32 wrote: Right click on order number and check "comments". This will show you the type of trade
But Im sure of mine, and it has taken both of mentioned trades; they are D1/H4.
Just a note: v1.2 is running continuously from monday without an error (even trade mgmt is working perfectly). Still no stack trades though...

Re: Nanningbob 10.2 Autotrader's new home
Now this is important:
EA has taken a second H4/D4 stack trade on AUDUSD (after first stack blue line)
"Multiple trades opening after 1st stack level" bug seems to be fixed. I have maxstacktrade @ 6 but EA still took just one more position.
Problem is now with trade mgmt. Now that EA has to manage two different trades for the same pair (the original one and the 1st stack one) it seems to get in confusion.
Magic number might be an issue?
I hoped that setting "magic number" @ 0 (thus forcing EA to generate random ones) could solve this issue (that I was aware of from older versions testing), but it seems not.
I suspect that EA uses the same magic number for both trades...

...
well I tried to reload the EA on a chart and saw that it declares randomly generated magic numbers when loading.
2012.09.05 19:52:05 Nanningbob 10.2 autotrader v1.2 NZDJPY,H4: Magic D1=974335623 / D1H4=664466805 / Bb=2028975364 / Wpc=1346134180
So it use the same MN for all D1H4 trades...
Another question about random magic numbers. If I close and reload the EA on one pair where I have an open position, when reloaded will it recognize it? Or it will act independently, thus potentially opening new trades?

Re: Nanningbob 10.2 Autotrader's new home
Yes. These were D1 Trend trades. My question was directed to the error messages that show continuosly if you choose Only Long or Only Short and the EA wants to place a trade in the opposite direction. Is there a way to stop those messages and close the alert window?. Let´s say you are bearish on the Eur due to divergences and other factors and the EA wants to go long. The only way I know of not taking those long trades is through the Only Short option on the Common Tab of the Properties. That creates the continuos error messages and alert window.fbs1979 wrote:Actually I don't think those are range trade, I believe they are D4/H4 trades (i have two similar positions running ATM)matt_32 wrote:These are RANGE trades....alorente wrote:The EA keeps trying to enter long trades on EurUsd and GbpUsd when it is obvious that they are breaking down to the downside. If I close them, it reenters again so that is no solution. I now have the EAs set to Only Short, but I keep getting error messages telling me it is not allowed to go long. What do you guys do to handle this problem?
\Matt
Obviously if you close a position when conditions are still valid for a trade, then EA will reopen it...
Observation is the path to discovery.

I have closed and reopened several times and the EA continues to manage the open trades.fbs1979 wrote:...

Re: Nanningbob 10.2 Autotrader's new home
The EA open many trades today and yesterday in H4/D1 trend trade and all incur loss. I think the reason is that it will open a trade whenever the price(not the close) break the 5.1ma/ pivot and and rebounce back or just touch again the ma. In that sense, all the trades are opened too early and not confirmed by the close and will suffer a larger dd before the correction end or SL pips too far away. So I suggest is it possible to change the trigger method by limited to bar close, that is previous H4 candle close to cross the ma/pivot and trigger candle to close cross again the ma/pivot and entry at next bar?
Happy Trading

Re: Nanningbob 10.2 Autotrader's new home
So first day running the latest version of Auto Trade. I placed it only on the pairs that where over 0.8 on the Slope Values indi. I will be adding all the pairs that are over 0.4 later today to see how that affects it. Right now by the trades open I feel iffy since many are close to pivots levels that are being tested and don't think they will hold. We will see how it goes.
I will have the myfxbook link up soon.
