Gday: a D1 Stochastic OB/OS trading robot

Hi guys,

Similar to Erickva earlier, I've recently setup GDay on a demo account and set up stoch to 7,2,2 settings trying to mirror Shelly's settings - but have had no trades for several days - even though on Shelly's account I can see that for example there were two trades taken today for EURGBP and EURJPY. I am trading these pairs along with the majors and most of the other pairs. Attached is my set file too.

I think your problem is the same as Erickva...your lot size is not in multiple of 3.
The trading strategy and exits are in 3 parts.

As Spot mentioned in his post, both of these trades that were taken on my demo were very marginal...different brokers will have different feeds which will account for some demo's taking trades and some not.

The other thing is this is a D1 strategy waiting for OB/OS scenario's, so it is not going to trade all the time, so patience is key.

If you are interested in testing some alternative settings, perhaps you could try changing the stoch levels to 78/22 or 75/25??

I wouldn't be too concerned - the stoch cross was very marginal on my EURGBP trade and I didn't get the other one from last night - I suspect it is simply criminal differences.

Yes that's correct...in fact they were both so marginal, if I was trading manually, I wouldn't have taken the trades.

This may be something I need to re-look at, perhaps an adjustment of ob/os to 78/22 or 75/25???

Both of these trades closed for losses at the re-cross of the stoch. I have sent a PM to Steve requesting an adjustment which should help prevent these very marginal trades.

I also have xagusd trade taken but this trade is also very marginal with the stoch signal line just sitting under the 80 level at 79.88.

1st part of this trade closed at +54 pips, price retraced and remaining lots closed at +7 pips. Happy to take that given how marginal the trade was.

Overall total pips banked = +863 pips

Not only do different criminals have different feeds, but they close their bars on different time periods. The results of Gday using bars that close just before the the open of the Aussie market is very different than a broker in the USA that I sometimes utilize with day bars that close six (6) hours after the open of Aussie market, which is also four (4) hours after the open Japanese market.

Gday still works for me with this particular criminal. I just can not reliably trade the AUD, JPY or NZD pairs.

this is weird, you're set file seems fine...it's almost as if the EA has taken the trades far too late! I'm sorry but I don't understand this behaviour at all.
Perhaps it is worth trying to install a new platform and try again. I will post my setfile shortly just in case (for comparison purposes)

I'm having the same problem, as I've tried Gday with two different criminals and I can't get the EA to place any trades. Can you post your set file & let me know which broker you're using?

I very much doubt it. I have had 2 trades this week and they were very marginal (and both losers so you were lucky!). The difference as mentioned before will probably just be broker feeds.
