I like your idea, so I set up for this morning on Ava Demo.

OOTB except risk is 2

All were "doing bugger all" till 8
Then bias showed up
NZDUSD opened a trade so now it's "doing bugger all" (till monday morning I think)

What criminal are you on?

Hi patman,

Have you remembered to make the magic number different for all the pairs you are using on the EA.
I am using fxpro demo.
The trades don't open at the same time, when the trade is right it will open an other trade.
There is still plenty of time to get more trades.

patman's post reminds me about something Glenn asked in a pm last night, and that I forgot to include in my reply.

For non-UK people who might not understand, "bugger all" is a phrase that means doing nothing. Other popular ones are "sod all" and "f&&k all", but I don't like the last one. Yobs in this country use f&&k as every second word in what passes for their sentences; it is tiresome.

I am going to try it with the NY open and see what happens let you guys know if it does or not.

i did sweet buggerall.
Really just started OOTB,
introduced 10/5 BE and JS at 50, all with-in the EA. i like MPTM, but not used here.
then, i think it was on the 10th of sept, i changed the JS to 30.
thats it.

your system for using this ea sounds like a much more realistic approach.
I think laying it all on the line with such huge margins is far too dangerous.
although the strategy works so far, i dont know if i had $10k or 100k to spare, knowing how hard i worked for it, could i let it all hang out there? i dont know.? maybe?

This is all demo and we all contributing our findings thats all. and remember its only been a week really, we need to test something for months before even considering live. Just a wonderfull start so far.

I'm not interfering on either of the demos, but after a month or two, i'd like to dial the risk down a bit and see where this ea wants to evolve to. Just having a blast in the meantime.

If i mauanlly close the two last positions for the week, my balance will be at 183k right now. thats 83% in a week guys.
This ea is blazing.

EDIT--- looking back at whats happening with the Euro right now. Paulus' method has it worked out just right for TP. my eurusd position closed right at the peak on this demo.

So I've spent all week chasing the slope, trying to get it to work and getting killed- while you guys and girls are fixin' to retire. So I say, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!

A couple of questions for those who understand this thing better than I....

Speaking OOTB- Once the line is set for the first time, does the EA set it automatically each day thereafter? Or do I have to reset the line each day manually?

If I want to trade the morning session also- I would think that I would need a second EA set for that timeline? (Just typing this one, the answer seems blazingly obvious- but someone, please be kind and humor me )

P.S. Between glen and I, we have determined that our favorite indi (slope) does not work with this set up. Almost every trade closes immediately at a loss. Don't know why and I'm tired of trying to figure it out- while you guys and girls are getting demo rich. I do intend to continue to pester steve into writing a version that uses slope bias accurately with no line, as I still think that will be better. It may take a pianododdler donation and a good bottle of red, but I will get one!
