Can someone explain to me how to run this just for the information and not to trade - when I attach to a chart it enters stops and limits on any existing open trades I have - how can I prevent this - please

Have a look at the settings Auto symbols and or pairs to trade
that will do the job or set stop trading to true

Just open a new chart , put Multibob on it and set stop trading to true !!
or in the common tab unclick live trading.

that does the job as well

thanks again hansnl - clicking on the common tab did the trick - strange how it wasn't trading but taking over my existing trades? hopefully will be fine now - thanks

Did it enter the trades in the first place? It shouldn't touch them if the Magic Number doesn't match.

I suppose you could enter a return(0); statement after the showGrid() call in start();

Perhaps Paul will add the "make this EA an indicator" option in a future release. :>

thanks gaheitman - No it didn't enter the trades in the first place - but clicking on no live trading in the commons tab has done the trick for now - Yes it would be nice if Paul make this EA an Indicator

Still no trades over here either, running since yesterday before opening, upgraded to V1.0.2 today and restarted, but still no trades, and no errors. Maybe this ea is so good it refuses to trade in this market conditions, preserving our precious deposits

I'm the same. No trade overnight. Not sure why. "Stop trading" is definitely set to "false".

Anyone else having the same problem?

MultiBob just entered a position, and the TP is the same as the entry price??

I never understand why "no trade" is a problem. Another 10.2 EA adds >20% on our account often, but then we turn it off for 2-3 weeks - others abandoned it as "did not work". Trend trading is for when there are clear trends. The other EA indicates 'no trades' at present - for good reason.
A couple of little refinement/additions to MB102 could be considered Paul. I added a 60th field (59) to show direction of open trades - very useful, especially when viewed with D1 slope, angle & H4 trend. Aware that multi-stack trades are allowed but hopefully all in same direction -attached.
Another refinement I have pointed out on many threads is the 'maxSpread' inconsistency.

does NOT give spread in pips, hence default maxSpread = 120; instead of 12 (pips).
(Ask-Bid) * Pipfactor always gives spread in pips, so replace

An interesting EA anyway - great concept. Less trades is usually better long term.
