IMHO a v.good trend alert system is provided as part of the Sonic trading system over at FF

The 34 period MA dragon is normally very reliable on H4 and for really long trends D1

You could do a lot worse than to close a pip loaded stacked position at a point crossing above the upper dragon band (selling) or at a point crossing below the lower dragon band (buying)

Hi DC,
Okay, i think i'm starting to understand why you set this up like this.

here's my next attempt at this.
-Firstly, i have removed all the Sl's and 'stuff' from MPTM i had last week.
- returned all OOTB and set TTA at 0.1 Lots.
- I've set MPTM to basket mode and he 'owns' all pairs.
- The fun starts with the hedging, setup to be at $20 , jump at $40.
- i noticed there are trades that go positive and then subsequently bite the dust. I'm leaving a BE of 20 pips, no TP, or SL anywhere.
- now, Hedge at 20 pips loss, at increments of 20 pips, hedge lot size 200% and hedge the hedged=true.
- i'm also setting ADX and Envelope filter to true.

I think this will bring in a lot of trades, but in the experience i've had, i try to close trades, not leave them open, so this is interesting.

Hi DC, all.
Ive tried to stick to the original plan here but ended up straying quite a bit. I dropped the basket scenario and went for the direct trades like all my other demos and would wait for a position to eventually turn to profit before MPTM did its BE and JS thing.
The reults look impressive, but it's nowhere near ready to take live and the DD has come to be horrific at some stages, like right now. I have had to turn off the EA's and wait for a week or two , sometimes 3 for the positions to turn. I would either start EA's again and let MPTM close them , or close them manually until the trades were at a low level before starting again. Hedging played a huge role and i allowed a very large 400% for hedging. Normal ea trading would'nt last long, as most the time they have been off.
I dont think you would have gotten much use out of my demo but was wondering if you have any plans for this EA in future.? I would like to see if we can get the direction right.

Thanks for the feedback George. I had a look at the results on your demo last week and couldn't quite work out what has been going on. I've been really concentrating all my spare time on FR and in particular retrace mode for a while now.

I put ATT out there as an exe because I wanted to look at a possible breakout strategy without an FR release to confuse the situation. I think I've got from it everything I was going to and, the lessons will be in the next major release of FR.

will clear this demo then and wait for the FR. Really big improvement on 9.01 so far in retrace. Setting up 9.02 right now.
