I followed the thread since beginning and nothing changed except some mods on the indicators itself.
Logic still the same, some exits were a bit fine tuned.

Then you should be plesantly suprised to see the same structure and rules have guided throughout the entire thread.
On the FF site there were many many proposals but my original structure and chart set still remain entacted and is the recommended way to trade.

By page 20 or so, people start looking for an EA. Were any attempts made to create one there?Evaluator wrote:gaheitman wrote:I generally jump to the end to see how much it's changed. Re: Symphonie Trader System
In fact, one of the indicator repaints. It's a cycle indicator mostly based on ZigZag, it catch highs and lows.
Seems, the V2 cycle indicator (on the first post) has almost fixed an issue. Currently there is two EA's for that strategy but none of them are really successful.
Anyway, that cycle indi isn't the most important one because it is the first of the the 4 that will give a signal first (not sure it correct in english). So even if it is repainting, most of the time the other 3 indicators will be aligned at least 3 or 4 bars after.
The problem for the EA was for the exit if I remember.

Most people would not consider that to be a problem.Evaluator wrote:Here is a Stat report from a small account I started in September 19 2011 with $3000.00. I stopped the account at the end of 5 weeks because the returns were getting too large..
You took a (real-money??) account from $3k to $30k -- in FIVE WEEKS !?!? With no more than 15% drawdown!?
That's... amazing.
How much discretion did you use in your trades? Or did you follow your rules strictly?

Actually 2 of them are prone to repaint but the Extreme Indikator is the greatest offender for repainting.lhDT wrote:In fact, one of the indicator repaints. It's a cycle indicator mostly based on ZigZag, it catch highs and lows.

But I trade my real accout this way long before I started the thread but I am not going to tell you how much I made. First, because it is none of your business and second you would not believe me anyway.
This is the way I trade so yes I trade by those rules.
This System took me over 8 months and alot of work to get it right.

Yes that is the original thread but with all the post...over 3400 and all the posts by people wanting to add new indikators it can become quite confusing.gaheitman wrote:Looks like we can do some catch up reading at FF. http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=315572
The telling point is that after all these post and suggestions for changing the original indikators and the original chart setup still remains as the most profitable way to trade. That should demonstrate that my system design is pretty solid.
