Very impressive work, love the update !
I was just wondering, it's possible to make a indie with an alert when there is a close candle above/below the daily pivot (especially in H4) ?
Best regards,
Happy pips to all of you

Hi Bob,
Thank you so much for all your Great Gift to us!
I am still struggling with the entry of the system.
Hope one of the smarter guys or even Bob, if you have the time, shred some light on this matter for me.
When DP is Top, WP center and MP bottom, we buy.
Does not matter the direction of the TMA Slope.
So how do we enter in the correct direction?
Sorry if this stupid question but I just can't seem to wrap my head round it.

The above seems to indicate when MP is on top, WP in center and DP bottom, we are to sell.nanningbob wrote: If the weekly is below the monthly then sell when it crosses the daily pivot. If the weekly is above the monthly pivot then buy when it crosses the daily pivot. If the daily pivot is between the weekly and monthly the market is ranging and you can trade accordingly knowing your profits will be quick and small. If the daily pivot is below/above both weekly and monthly pivot then you have a running trend and you can stay with the trade longer. Because the daily pivot resets every day you can usually find a re-tracement that goes behind it so you can have a reentry point to reenter the trend every day.

This seems to say to enter in the direction of the TMA Slope.nanningbob wrote:When all three are lined up Monthly, Weekly, Daily, and price is behind the daily look to enter at the cross of the daily pivot into the direction of the trend. Then handle the trade based on the strength of the move or fundamentals behind it.
So how do we enter in the correct direction?

No, he's saying MP < WP < DP --> buy, DP < WP < MP --> sell.
THEN once in your trade, you can use the slope as a measure of the strength of the move, to decide if you want to go for a quick TP & out, or stack positions to ride a long move, etc.
Good simple explanation of the system in two sentences. Like the brevity. Thanks

what is about using 30 day pivot and seven day pivot with daily pivot ?
so all of the three pivot move daily ( something like moving average but not actually MA)
i can't try it as i'm not a programmer and it need hard work if i try it manually calculated ........
Forex trading is very difficult work not a game so you must know all tools for this work that meet with your need

I am sure something like that already exists just have to find it. I am not a fan of waiting for the next open or close of a candle to enter a trade on high end charts.Fable wrote:Very impressive work, love the update !

That is nothing more than a moving average system. What you do is play with moving averages that cross the pivot lines. Get one MA to mimic the DP, one MA to mimic the WP, and one to mimic MP and you have your system. I played with that idea some but I want to keep everything simple and easy to understand. If you like a MA cross system use a 2 or 3 MA smoothed shift one open on a daily chart. sell below the line buy above. Simple and easy.Selim wrote:Hi Bobnanningbob wrote:The first couple of days of a month can be tricky since most of the time the 3 lines are in close proximity to each other. FWIW I was experimenting with it recently -- calculating a "daily pivot" using the high, low, & close of the last 24 hours, "weekly pivot" using the high, low, and close of the last 5 trading days, etc. Here's what it looks like:
IN Empty4 there is a setting for MA that is called typical. It is the high.low.close/3 formula
