OBV TMATrueSlope NT indicator

hi babalu4u,

Here are the two indicators one use a ATR and the second use Function of OBV True Range and here is the problem we must build better function or a new indicator OBV True Range because i think is beter this one ...and for this function is this indi SLOW when initialize but wait a litle its workin....

Since I'm sick and can't concentrate to much I thought that I take a peek into your indicator.
I rewrote it based on the TMATrueSlope Indicator so that you can do a better backtesting on it.

It is like the standard TMATrueSlope Indicator only that you have now a external Parameter "useOBV".
If it is set to true (default) the TMA calculations are based on the OBV otherwise on Price close like the standard TMA. You have also the option to switch TMAtrue on/off (default is on). The MTF Version should also work.

This is not the version with the average Range...only OBV.

What exactly do you mean with MTF doesn't work?

When I put a period Value (1,5,15,30,60,240,1440) in otherTfToShow it shows me the corresponding Value on the Indicator...it is the only MTF functionality implemented in this indicators...eventually you must resize your Indicator or input the correct values.

Where did you get the algorithm for Average Range from?

I want to see how this Function was intended to be used...as of now I don't see why to average the whole chart/bars... normally there should be a Range Period or something like that...

That is also the reason why it takes so long to calculate/start this indicator....it calculates for every bar the OBV average from the bar it started till bar1 (previous of the current bar).

If it is intended to be this way we still could optimize the algorithm but I want to see first how it was used before.

I take that function from Scoobydo ForexRobot I think V. 5 AverageRange function from him and than I simple change iHigh and iLow with OBV High Low.... Because I dont find any OBV True Range indicator I tray with that function.....

The scoobydoo AverageRange function has a Range Period of 240.
I implemented now the average Range. You can activate it with the Parameter "useObvAtr". I also implemented the "obvAtrPeriod" Parameter where you can define the Period of the obvAtr. The default is at 100 like the standard atrPeriod.
As you can see the difference is not that great if you use the same period for the obvAtr.
The great difference in your AverageRange happened because you had no Period set and it calculated the average for the whole chart (all bars).
