ADAPTING NB10.2A FOR LOWER TF & RM TRADING - 10.2A CTS

Today seems to be another good day for 10.2A CTS on some euro pairs (EU, EG, EJ), as they seem determined to go beyond what was achieved yesterday, having now broken free of pivot resistances on a 2nd attempt and gone past BE trigger points. Not sure how long the rally will last, though, as the channels are still downward (they are all range trades); we'll see...

For those who may still not have grasped the thinking behind the system, here's an analogy; hope it helps:

10.2A CTS basically treats price like a rolling ping-pong ball and makes absolutely no attempt whatsoever to predict where it may go next (its a random walk), but focuses instead on the ball's properties and its fairly predictable behaviour under certain conditions. For example, if a ball losing momentum hits a glass floor/ ceiling at a relatively low weakening speed, it should bounce backwards off the glass. As a ball will need sufficient distance between it and the glass to gather enough momentum to break through it, as long as the ball's speed has already weakened and it is now very close to the glass, hitting it hard will only lead to a higher bounce and not breakage. So by knowing the ball's momentum record and how close it is to a glass barrier (S&Rs - pivots, higher TF highs/lows), the most probable behaviour of the ball at certain points based on its properties should be estimable, tradeable even. At other times, its anyone's (often wrong) guess.

10.2A CTS leads seamlessly into NB10.2A in the ball analogy with the scenario that if a ball having bounced, has now been hit very hard while at a sufficient distance from its next glass target, it will break through the glass and go far (trend) with little resistance.

Hi RJo,

Great work again on the ATeam indy mod.
It works as expected. Only needs a couple of slight adjustments
- reduce the number of H1 alerts to one, the latest (maybe we can mimic the logic that the Semafor uses)
- modify the appearance of the higher Tf alerts slightly (see image below).
Its usable as-is already so its fine if the adjustments prove to be too difficult to make. Many thanks!

Yesterday, I was still scratching my head when I was doing my own post-mortem of what went wrong with my "10.2a Oct 2012 edition trades" this week. After spending the entire night till wee hours of this morning reading your thread over & over & over again, my post-mortem is over & all my questions answered. If anyone is interested, my post-mortem request was also posted to Bob here (http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 539#p25539). My post-mortem conclusion posted here (http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 573#p25573).

Anyway, being a non-programmer but a "battled-scarred-EA/Manual-trader", I'm still figuring out how I would be able to contribute to the already phenomenal work you folks are engaged in. Perhaps with testing & being an extra pair of eyes to think/look over stuff? We'll see as we all progress along.

For now, I am still trying to recover from shock looking at your system & what I did wrong this week. I can only regret not paying attention earlier when Steve sent his mailer out with regards to this thread

I just realized the Fast lines in v1b and v1c need some improvement. Currently, there is only one instance of the indi incorporated. It's running on the current TF. I plan on hardcoding the current TF instance to make it H1, and adding H4 and D1 Fast lines (alorente's colors). In effect, this will add 16 more sets (2 Fast indi's) of trading conditons to the existing 8 (1 Fast indi). This is not including the 2 kinds of emerging bias.

Also... I plan to hardcode the CSSDiff to H1 in v1b and the TMASlopeMTF to H1 in v1c. This will make the EA's operate universally regardless of the chart TF attached to.

Use any momentum indy of your choice if it makes it easier ...you call the shots on the EA. I'm just a tester

Very early days for me with your strategy, but funnily enough, I am going to start posting more charts here. Not in the capacity of expert, but so that I can learn from your feedback, and by extension, help other people to learn....

At first I want to say "thank you" very much for the hard work you put into this. I am using your system on a small real account and honestly said, I think I'm not using it all correctly. But since Wednesday I had 18 trades with it. And believe it or not, ALL of them have been winners.
