Ahh, I'm furiously scratching my head working hard at this, RJo. Its presently more art than science but I think it is key to start from somewhere so I won't let up until something is found, even if the process will be more iterative than precise.RJo wrote: Beyond that, CC is working to determine the optimum distances where we are most likely to lead a WP reversal and least likely to get burned by a WP extension.

Hiho,
dump question: Just to be sure. The ExtremeTMA upper/lower lines are repainting, or?
(When they are, is there a chance of a none repainting version?)
EDIT: Ah. Okay. I see when changing the TMAperiod it looks like i wanted...

Quick reply is yes that indicator does repaint but if you put the non-repainting version (attached) on top you'll see it's not so bad. I used to wonder if we could make an indicator which averages the repainting and non-repainting values and makes a semi-repainting version which is the best of both worldshilavoku wrote:Hiho,

PS. I'm posting this indicator for your research and in no way am I suggesting you replace the current version the system uses.

Hi Jem!
I just experimenting with the TMA pitch indi i programmed and trying to see if there is a correlation between extremeTMA and the pitch. So i will take a deep look into the attached TMA TRUE.
Thank you!
Guido

Speaking of repainting....
How many bars before the semaphore indi is fixed and won't move?

Just send me message and I will make more pictures for those (as best as I can).RJo wrote: Hey TL, I found some more combinations just now! Adding them to the list.
ATeam is simply an MTF zigzag indicator. Any leading zigzag indi repaints. If it didn't repaint, it would be quite useless for identifying immediate highs and lows--which is exactly what it attempts to do. In post 1, pg 1, look for the language. "When a high/low alert occurs on a higher TF's FastTMALines." Consider an H4 (Magenta) or D1 (Aqua) peak signal a high alert, and an H4 or D1 trough signal a low alert "on a higher TF."
No need to apologize. Please do NOT hesitate to ask questions. I hope others are not holding back--4 or 5 traders might be wondering the same thing. Another thing: If you ask a question and your post gets buried, ask it again! As this thread picks up, I'm finding stuff one or two pages back.
Ouwww...so the A team is not accurate at backtesting. I thought I can understand this system better with studying historical charts but there goes my plan
Btw your EA need all indicators to be put on each chart to work? that would be lots of loading time if the answer is yes
And as I read it is for alert purpose only so I copy it to indi folder instead of EA or I still need to copy it to EA folder?.
Will try it out tomorrow.
thanks for your reply Jo.

Hi TL - do you have enough computer capacity for loading up the EA on many pairs/charts ? For me the Empty4 platform is nearly frozen ... uploading the Empty4 with the EA sitting on the charts is running for a long time depending on the number of charts/pairs.

Will do. I think I may need some more data - do you think you could add the WP-MP lines to the indy so I can better explore the relationship/ratio between the DP and WP distances from MP? Maybe we could use the same colours as DWM Pivots too. Thanks.RJo wrote: If it's any easier, you might focus on an "alertable" number versus an autotraded number. In other words, a good estimate that you would like to be alerted to, but not a set it and forget it trigger.

That's fine, RJo. It works well for me, either way.RJo wrote:Will do. Right now, the DP minus MP line is Lime. So the WP minus MP line will be Gold. The Bid minus MP will continue to be Royal Blue??? Do you want the DiffMA lines to match DWM Pivots as well? I think the contour of the line alone is distinguishing enough.

Great! Testing right away. We should get more trade triggers with the update. Will feed back any developments. Thanks.RJo wrote:Important fixes added to v1b and v1c, post 1, pg 4:
Removed an old condition that was improperly narrowing the +/-10 pip (default) FastTMALine range for standard entries. In previous versions, I failed to delete it.![]()
Added FastTMALine/ATeam/Bid returns to DP emerging trend code. As usual, not yet tested. This is a product of both the EA builder software and my manual coding, so please report any problems. It passed inspection by the guy who wrote it.
The standard FastPipBuffer input applies also to the FastTMALines for purposes of anticpating the above mentioned emerging trend (again, +/-10 pips by default). However the alert is not displayed until Bid crosses DP.
Notes: The DMPBidDiffsMAs indi is still under construction, but will be added if/when we get meaningful data from it. Changing the ugly alert text to something useful is next on the list.
Happy testing. I'm done for the night.
