Up another 3.6% profit today, following the EU-only strategy of CuzGeorge.
Using two EU charts with 6% risk each, but different magic numbers.
Cuz setfile: BE 20/10; JS 20 add BEP.
Up 12.7% since Friday morning. Watching with great interest.

Tuesday morning edit: up another 3.6%, for total 16.3 % profit.

I am using the Balls to the Wall Yellow line version. As CuzGeorge has pointed out, it is working very well with the Euro/USD, for some reason. I was excited about using slope in Wolfie Balls, and then angle, but I have been disappointed by both new features. I am fairly sure that Angle in Wolfie Balls is causing some sort of misfire in trading. Slope, on the other hand, has unexpectedly not improved on the original system. Cuz reports that he has had only winners since Sept. 4, trading only the EU in the original system. My brief experience along these lines has been quite encouraging. Glenn

Hi all,
think i got a handle on Wolfie,
i'll post the set file tomorrow if it go's well. Rather unconventional settings for slope on 1440, but i noticed when i had Baluda's slope value indicator on the chart, that the value would change quite dramatically causing the rapid buy and sell on it. Especially if we were trying the lower TF's. Dont forget to set the indis TF to 1440 as you'll be viewing Wolfie on 1M i if you try this.

well done on your results, it's great to see progress here.
Ill post my results so far also. Not as good as yours, but i'm holding out for the big moves and i've been missing them. Not paying enough attention to Balls with all the EA's i'm trying to test.

regards and stay well guys,
cuz

Great News on Wolfie, Cuz. I look forward to your findings. I am encouraged to hear that I am wrong about angle causing the trading problems.
Forexedge: I have been trading only EU, but two of them, with different magic numbers.

The forex gods reclaimed most of my profits this morning. I learned two things of value. The first is that it will actually trade insane lot sizes on two EU pairs set at risk% 7. This I like. The second is that occasionally the most recent fractal SL will be ignored, in favor of distant galaxies. As Steve pointed out once before, it is not a coding problem. My tentative solution is to use Multipurpose Trade Manager to create an instant trailing stop that disconnects at Breakeven. At that point, the more generous jumping stop will take over. This should shut down really big losses, when the most recent fractal is ignored. Glenn

Hi Glenn,
nice demo experience you're picking up.
The ea definately likes to trade. The problem i'm having is to get in at the right moment. The time factor of Paulus' original system has waned on me. Its almost like flipping a coin except with a method that seems to have merit. I cannot say it doesnt work, but i cant get my mind away from the fact that it seems like a gamble. i dont like gambling.

I prefer the idea of Wolfie, because there is no time limit. if the conditions are met , Wolfie should jump in. I'm just finding it hard to get the right TF and slope values married to each other.

My settings have not worked out so its pointless to send another set file in the mix. I will continue to monitor with Baludas slope value indi until i get a feel for what settings to try. I've changed settings so many times on different charts that i've now confused myself. My notes look like scraps of scribbles. lol.

Your idea of a tight BE and instant trailing sounds too limiting for Balls. I have stuck to the BE with a small JS and it hasnt worked out for the whole month. I feel an instant trailing stop would not work.

When you closed your positions manually, in a previous post, you timed it just right. I had left mine to see where it ends up. i was SL'ed out at my first BE point. The movement turned again and went straight up and would have hit Paulus's TP, but the following day.

My test to see how Vg and Vl take trades has been very interesting. I was surprised to see both of them take the same direction on eurusd. only once though. Thats not supposed to happen. Leads me back to what you mention about the fractals.

I am thinking of tightening the BE's on those charts to see if i can catch a whipsaw where both will close at BE. i've seen this work, but the DD can get massive if the market trends. Its simiular to what you are going to try but with a different approach.

going to reset the accounts on fxbook. its starting to look very bad and not indicative of a proper demo right now. Too much fiddling has been going on, so please bare with me, will post when i get a winning approach/method.

To follow is a pic of the open and closed positions with comments if you'd like to see. Also settings for Wolfie are showing, for slope and this is only one of the accounts i'm using. Fxbook thingy has the rest.

regards and stay well all,
cuz

Pics as promised, remember i'm using JS and BE, therefore my positions should always close with the red colour.

If no colour, i closed myself.

George,

I think you should rethink your idea of trades based on time as gambling. I think it is a very valid way to finding direction because certain hours have a lot of trading participation, and if it moves one way, then if it is trending, then the overall market will continue to move that way. Whereas, if some trade slope is met, but in thin trading...it doesn't mean anything because they will never have follow through. It is also harder to manipulate the market if the time is like the Euro open or NY open. Too many volume, and can't manipulate prices.

Hmh, jboy, lots of thought going on.
I see you prefer the Balls EA. I will try choosing specific times/days to turn the ea's on and off.
I hear what you are saying , just the variables/options become so wide apart its hard to pinpoint when to get in. I'll get onto something though and post results. Just need to figure it out , spend some time going over what i have here.

Wolfie, i have to take your advice here as all i've tried, and Glenn's results, show us we must be on the wrong path here. Wolfeman had noticed what i also see from time to time, and the idea is to try and catch this movement. Look for the retrace during the day and see if you see any consistency almost each day. This is the move we want to catch.

Because we know the EA a little better now, we know they can trade a lot, and we can adjust how often or how little. I'm going to go on much higher time frames, and even if there is no trades taken, i'm going to wait for the right situation, and we'll see from there. Problem is we might be sitting for weeks with out trades. I'm setting much higher Fractal TF's and Slope will probably stay at 1440. I just dont know about slopes value settings yet. Again, i look at the info i got here and will set something up, probably over the week end. Will take a lot of time to go through all.

Thanks for the input jboy.
