Add the ability to detect the need for a limit order in the stacking process. Limit order pending lines are LimeGreen/OrangeRed and HasBuyFilled() and its partner have some extra code to use the info in the colour field.

:D
Very nice. I was thinking about how to add this in the midst of my testing this morning and my way was more complicated and less right. Glad I passed. :D

I wouldn't go THAT far. :)
Have a look at my attachment a few posts back - it does the job but is a bit crude! But it is undoubtedly a successful MA Cross I believe :D

IMHO, using MA's with the FB isn't going to produce results that we are looking for, referring to the number of bad entries...... The FB signifies rejection of a price level, I would suggest utilising the II_SupDem indicator. If the FB occurs in proximity to the level defined by this indi the odds are in our favour.

Thoughts?

Hi Steve - back concentrating on your latest version again without my extras :D

Still missing a lot of trends due to early stop out. Need to hold BE on the initial trade until some kind of confirmation. Would be good to try Breach of FastMA, Breach of SlowMA and MA Cross.

Also still quite a few invalid stops on order placing

Brian: Not ignoring you but MAs are inherent part of FB indicator that is why I was looking at them, as they must inform the original Joe's discretion

Here is my modification of Steve's latest delaying the modification of the stop for the initial trade until the MAs have crossed

Also lots of rubbish to try and sort out the invalid stops - to no avail!

My coffee ran out long ago, so no promises on being correct here.... :D

For the PendingBuyLimit logic, don't we want to treat the trade as a BUY_LIMIT when bid is below the PendingPrice level? Otherwise, we haven't hit the price and we'd just emulate a BUY_STOP.

The code is:

Code: Select all

         if (Bid < PendingPrice) PendingBuyLimit = true;
Don't we want it to be

Code: Select all

         if (Bid > PendingPrice) PendingBuyLimit = true;
Is so, this may be the source of the bad stops. The PendingSellLimit also seems reversed.

The trades could well be reversed. I have a hell of a time getting my illogical head around this kind of logic. If you conclude my code is the wrong way around, you will have no argument from me.
