Backtest if you want, but you are wasting your time.

Hi Shelley, fxozgirl wrote:I've just made an adjustment to my demo settings I started yesterday...changed ShortTradeTrigger to 75 & LongTradeTrigger to 25
also set up 2 new demo's using candlestick trailing stop & regular trailing stop 75/25 Trade Trigger's
Will set up myfxbook for all 3 demo's later today
Do you need to change OverBought & OverSold as well ?
Ron.

One thing I experimented with in my earlier TS testing was an adapting trigger level. I tried "trigger when it gets past OB/OS, AND it pulls back X from its max/min." So you're using a trigger of 5, where it has to get past 80 and then come back to 75. But it might go all the way up to 98, and 75 is a long way down from there -- you will have missed a lot of the move. So with a trigger of 5, you'd enter if it got up to 98 and then dropped back to 93. It gets you into the move a lot earlier.fxozgirl wrote:the reasoning is we want to make sure that price is OB/OS which means it must go over the 80/20 level to confirm this...I want to make sure that when I take a trade (as best I can) that price has definitely started to retrace,
Mine will not have done yet - different crim with a different candle time.MrLong wrote:Hi,
My Multi Stoch trader has just taken 2 trades, GBPCAD(Option 1, Short) and USDCAD(Option 2, Short).
Has Gday, taken any of these trades for any of you guys?
I'm using Alpari(UK).
As soon as I get it right I'll upload it.
Thanks
Andy
I am not a mind reader. Do you think you should have had some trades? Maybe you think you should. Maybe you think you should not. I do no know.trader689 wrote:ive had gday mark 2 loaded up on multiple charts since it came out and i havent had a trade yet (dfmarkets demo)
My crim just opened a new candle and Gday took the same trades. Live, I would have the balance filters in place and so would not have sold xxxCAD twice.SteveHopwood wrote:Mine will not have done yet - different crim with a different candle time.MrLong wrote:Hi,
