10.3 SCALPER/RANGE TRADE SYSTEM

My wife has been on the phone with the food stamp office while I've been typing away on this the last half hour. Gotta go to get stamps. Hope this implements Bob's 10.3 Volatility groups well. The Volatility is constantly updating. I might change it later to update once a day (but it uses the current day in calculations, so may want to not do that if we update only at first tick of day).

Gotta go. She's been telling me to get up for more than a half hour now. Been on the phone cause I ain't moved. LOL Cya

Looks like a great indi. I tried loading it though and get nothing on screen. Has anyone else had any problems with suffixes, etc. Of course I'm not even getting the headers.

Do you have the "Allow DLL Imports" problem mentioned a few pages back? If you press Ctrl-I on the chart, is it listed as one of the indicators?

You may want to add a check to see that they have the option turned on. See IsDllsAllowed( ) in the Empty4 help for more info.

Yeah pretty sure I got all the right settings. Probably a memory issue. I'm running 4 Empty4's with all pairs. When I first put on the template all the data shows. Then if I remove objects (old data) nothing comes back.

I'll try it after closing all my other platforms.

I've been thinking about what Iamshakey said on the 10.3 EA thread about trading the 10.3 in line with the slope.

I think there might be some merit in looking at the slope of the H4 and D1 in connection with a H1 10.3 entry. Don't know what you may think Bob.

Anyways, I modified the slope to show not only the current but 2 other time frames which I have set on H4 and D1. I'm no coder so if you change those time frames in inputs and it messes up, it's on you.

I've also set up my template so that when you go to the H4 or D1 time frame it shows the 10.2a setup and then when you go down to H1 it shows the 10.3. Might be helpful to some

The indicator's there. The only error I'm getting is a zero divide error.

Thanks for all this great work, with trade recommendations and volatility also added. Now we have the material for a complete trading system- 10.2a on H4/D1, 10.3 on H1/below TFs and CTS, plus volatility.

With spyderman's auto-TF switch template and indis added, this could save traders a ton of time and effort !

I have had zero divide errors but that will be fixed eventually. Hope your indi has a choice of hiding various columns given limited window space and of symbol colors ...

You know what I was thinking? I figure it's easy to speed up the indicator in one way. After you put the indicator on the chart, and find out your GMT offset, go into inputs and set WeekEndMode to True, and set the GMToffset to the correct value you see on your chart. Click OK. Now save the template as another name than original.

Do this to all indicators once you find out true GMToffset, and then save a broker-specific template. This way, you have chart/indicators setup that is good for weekends, backtesting, and well, all the time. But many people don't know their GMTOffset, so I made it automatic. Of course if it doesn't HAVE to go get the input, parse it, etc., then there is going to be some saved CPU cycles.

I can always add the easy stuff Athar. I'm already on my way to my next update. I started working as soon as i got home.

If people like it, use it, pleasing to the eyes, makes their life easier as it will for me, then I don't mind recommending seeing my signature below. I am working for the trader because I am a trader. I want it easy for me, and I'm sure we all feel the same.

Here's a pic (well, hopefully posting it soon) showing whether the TmaSlope on D1 and H4 are both above 0.2 (Weak Buy), below -0.2 (Weak Sell), above 0.5 (Strong Buy), below -0.5 (Strong Sell). I am also adding MP, WP, DP, DO, except making it "Pips Away from..." and coloring. So if price is 50 pips below DO, it wil be a red 50. I also plan on implementing better calculations for SL/TP/R:R, using Exact Tool I have in my possession, which takes spread into account for SL, TP, and R:R, which is not being done now (I mean, who would risk 20 pips on USDMXN that has a spread of 50? No wonder the R:R is through the roof). When fixed, the R:R now showing will not be as good as it is now because it will be more real calculations and show somewhat the ugly side of scalping - spread cost - as Bob talked about.

Just my (most likely more than) 2 cents.

The currencies that are colored blue in pairs on left are exotic/not-standard currencies (not 1 of 8 main ones). These MAY make errors. So maybe jot down a list of pairs you do want, or I would recommend first setting max spread to I think the highest Bob mentioned was 8? I don't know what's causing the zero divide errors, and frankly in the amount of code I'm looking through right now, it's getting more difficult even with functions to find everywhere I've divided something that could cause a zero-divide error. Please try the things in this post, and if you happen to find which currency is causing the problem, I will take a closer look at trying to make sure it's implemented best I can at some point.

Steve is working with the EA/Script for the volatility thing. I hate daylight saving time because we dont have it in China. They also dont have time zones here so you can have one part of the country where the sun gets up at 5 am and another part it is almost 9am before it comes up. I have to wait until after I am at school now to see the pivot changes. Don a suggestion when you put a file up, I have been dating indis and updates so i know which ones are the most recent. For example 10.3 dah dah dah 11.6. There are updates and posts going up several times a day and it is getting difficult to know which ones is the most recent. If you or someone could take the best ideas and screen and put them all into one folder and post it dated 11.6 then I know which one to look at. I get up in the morning I may have 15-20 minutes of computer time and I need to know which is the most recent update to use. Anyway thank you for all your work. Back to class.
