I think this has been discussed before but don't have it very clear.

Does the EA treat the trades as a basket, or does it enters/exits trades individually?

I mean, the TP and SL factors affect each trade individually, but will the trades close when each of them hit their respective TP/SL, or does it take it into consideration for the basket's closure calculations?

Does the EA treat the trades as a basket, or does it enters/exits trades individually? <=== if the extern int BasketPipsProfit = 0;, is set higher than zero, or extern int BasketPipsStopLoss = 0; is set above zero, the EA will use these settings as TP/SL.

If they are set at zero, then TP/SL will be calculated :
extern double TakeProfitFactor = 0.61; //this is the multiple of the Avg TPtimeframe Range used to calculate TP / Basket TP takes preference if it is above 0
extern double StopLossFactor = 0.50; //this is the multiple of the Avg TPtimeframe Range used to calculate SL /Basket SL takes preference if it is below -0.

So if the average movement of a pair in the last 200 bars is 100 pips in whatever timefame is set in the TPtimeframe setting, the TP would be 61 pips, lower TPtimeframe will have a lower TP/SL.

Basket wise, at the minute, it does not wait for a specific amout of trades before sending the orders.

Hi Paul,

If you set the TPtimeframe option to 15, the takeprofit/stoploss will be reduced to the average movement of a M15 bar, so it would be very small.

I found the best setting for testing was 1440, but the stop will be 50% of the average daily range.

I found using the basket TP/SL worked excellent in testing.

thanks for your great and well documented EA. i test it since last week on demo with basket management:


in this account i trade stoch and rsi on 2 different charts.

looks promising so far. sadly the ea "lost control" over a basket last week. the floating profit was > +200 euro, but it didn't lock in the profit. at this time the colored buttons and the display info about locked pips etc. were disappeared. i closed the trades later manually with a small profit. if this wouln't have been happened, then the balance today would have been much higher. on this account is the version 1.01 running. i will put the newest version online as soon as the current basket is closed.

which changes did you do in the new version?
