hi andy,

thanks for your great and well documented EA. i test it since last week on demo with basket management:


in this account i trade stoch and rsi on 2 different charts.

looks promising so far. sadly the ea "lost control" over a basket last week. the floating profit was > +200 euro, but it didn't lock in the profit. at this time the colored buttons and the display info about locked pips etc. were disappeared. i closed the trades later manually with a small profit. if this wouln't have been happened, then the balance today would have been much higher. on this account is the version 1.01 running. i will put the newest version online as soon as the current basket is closed.

Should have locked 50 pips in at 150 profit and then trailed as the profit increased.

I've added Adaptive SL/TP and just adding the ability to basket trade.

I'm just in the process of testing it now, I had problems with my crim today not opening accounts ect, so that slowed the show up a little.

yep, these are my settings and they are working well so far. but only this one time something was wrong, i don't know what could have caused it.

I was looking at adding the slope stratergy, but wait until we have, say 6 trades all above 8, then let them all go at the same time, can be switched on or off, or not used at all.

6 trades today on my demo test. Did you check Expert and Journal tabs for any message ?

Thank you MrLong for a great EA. I had my demo account on for 2 days but only 1 trade. But, when I restarted my Empty4, I got 4 trades within a few seconds. I don't know what's going on. I will keep testing and see.

Latest version on page 1.

I've added Adaptive stoploss and takeprofit, there are now 3 different methods to control, stoploss and takeprofit.

1) Calculated by the ADR, in which case the takeprofit and stoploss is calculated on the timeframe entered in, TP_SLtimeframe .

2) Adaptive, which is as I understand it adaptive pips * open trades.

2) Basket, which you set your basket pips and hope all the trades make it.

LockedInPips is the amount to lock in when takeprofit hits LockedInLevel, then the EA will trail the pips.

I removed quite a bit of junk code and had a general tidy up, I've had it running all day and seems ok.

The EA seems to be doing quite well at the moment, lets hope that continues.

I'm testing 2 demos ATM,

Both are with basket closures=0 (That is, every trade for itself)

First one has default factors (0.61 and 0.50)
Second one hald (0.32 and 0.25)

OK, 2 things:

First: I'm an idiot. An I-D-I-O-T!! I usually have several Empty4 opened, some for demo accounts, one for real stuff. Doing several things at once, I messed up and put this on a real account. Result: I was having a pretty good day, with +100€ pocked but some -400€ in drawdown. I knew why and they were controlled. As sson as I dropped this EA there, it started to close every single trade, and I ended up with -300€ of loss. For real. I am an IDIOT, again! IDIOTA!

Second: So, this had a severe problem. Checking in, it seems that the code that esured the EA owned the trades, right after this:
//Ensure the EA 'owns' this trade

was commented.

Just to warn someone as idiot as me. Probably noone else will fall for it, but still...
