Gday Mark 2

Ding, Gday is NOT a basket strategy. The EA monitors and trades multiple pairs, but it enters only one pair at a time. When a single pair signals an entry, that single pair enters.

My input is True for Tradelong and Tradeshort, but the chart comment says False.
Is this a bug in the EA or I am doing something wrong?

Have a look at your swap filters Bernard, and see if those are over-riding your manual settings - they will do if you have them set and the swap is negative on both buys an sells.

That apart, not a clue. No, it isn't a bug in the ea; it would have shown up in one of the previous 12 pages. I am trading this on my live account, so I would have noticed even if nobody else had. Which is doubtful; you have no idea how many proper programmers there are regularly perusing my work.

It seems that the EA closes deals before the stop loss is reached. I had a long position yesterday on eur/jpy which went to -60 pips and this morning the position was closed at the opening of the new candle. I reopened the position manually. Actually this is not the first time it closes losing positions. Can somebody explain why is the ea closes the losing positions before the stop loss is hit. Is it something with the settings?

I understand, but it seems the 2 lines did not cross the 80 line...
also, is it possible to be something related to the margin level - I test with a very small account and when the ea opens a trade it always says there is insufficient margin.

The ForexKiwi margin check is enabled by default. however, as I understand it, this will only prevent new trades being sent - not force closure of open trades.

Not entirely sure which bit of:
Trade exit
There are the usual take profit and stop loss inputs. The trade also closes if not at breakeven and Stoch Main crosses the Signal in the wrong direction.

has escaped your attention after Shelley repeated it. You could always try reading post 1 properly. Usually a good start when reading a thread about a trading system that a number of people are trading live - me, for example. Shelley, for example. Or maybe you think that our hard-won experience and relative expertise should somehow be implanted into your brain by osmosis.

Be warned that I am not a fan of people who are too lazy and thick to read post 1 properly in any thread - especially one which I start and therefore have to read whenever the lazy and dimwitted post is such a way that proves conclusively that they have not read post 1 properly. Ask around if unsure how I will react.

A few two-syllable words in that last para, granted, but learn to cope with them, ok?

nice to see the progress with mark 2 of this great ea. as i can see nicely on my demo, these days right now, where the market is turning around and starts to move strongly in another direction, are the best days for gday:



i'am very satisfied with the performance so far.

one thing i noticed a few times now: gday closes the first 1/3 after 50 pips. correct. the second 1/3 when reaching 100 pips. correct. but the last 1/3 is always closed a few seconds after the second 1/3. in the myfxbook-history there's not one trade with more than 100 pips.
