You know what I would like 0 Spreads and a fixed monthly fee. Now that would be a broker.

Bob,

Don't know if I can keep up with your changes :)

I am working on updating the indicators I've made. By trial and error, I came up with the code that works to put us all on 17:00 ET daily open, which affects pivots, S/R, etc. I praise God in Jesus Name for this breakthrough. It's simple and logical.

Updates coming soon Lord willing.

Kindest regards,

Don

i added a 1 MA line to the EA?? not much of a change. Doesnt do anything to the screen just keeps the EA from entering below the line so you can put it on the screen looking for a retrace. In other words if price is below and you want to catch a retrace later in the day but can only set up once a day it will be a great thing. For me I probably will keep using the usual EA but as far as the system goes noting has changed. The next big change may happen if the pivot and open lines are changed to a universal system and they can be used without freezing up the screen. That will be the next change if it happens. There really isnt much to change other than that except if an individual wishes to add things to it. i will continue to take trades at the trendline break 5.1 or the cross of the open/pivot lines. There is nothing else really to the system.

The market opens and moves in a direction. Since daylight savings time has move the JPY start time well into the time I am at work teaching I probably will do little trading time in that session. Maybe my new delayed 5.1x1 EA will let me trade those times but I will see. Right now I am 13 wins and 20 losses, so I feel a hot streak coming up now that price seems to be moving for the week. I pretty much have been 50-50 since Monday. My winners are bigger than my losers so if I get back to 50 50 I will have a winning week

Hey Bob, that are impressive results. Are you using the Jumpin EA with the standard settings? I got numerous times stopped out yesterday with -8 pips (e.g. GU) which ruined the overall result :( - So it happened I got stopped out 2x with -8 and then the final run got stopped out on +7 :(

I am looking to find a setting to stay longer in the trend without messing up the R:R

I will try the following settings for today (rest of week):

SL Trade
-30 0
-20 8
-10 16
0 24
15 32
30 40
45 48

No matter what you use you will get stop outs. The key will be winners to losers and will your winners be bigger than losers. That is what you want to see. The average pips for + trades is a bigger number than you - trades. Remember the first couple of days were really bad. Today we make them up. :)

Sorry Bob, I'm a whole week behind, before 10.2 and 10.3 got merged, when there was TmaTrueSlope (not used anymore), Volatility gauge (guess no need to show anymore?), before "trendline break 5.1" and "1 MA" was added to 10.3, and before you gave two versions of EA. So there have been a FEW? changes in last week or so, since I stopped working on All Pairs. ;)

So on AllPairs, should I add "trendline break 5.1"? "1 MA" it looks like on template is DO? And there were errors in #4 and #8 for instructions on chart you pointed out. Is that all?

Kindest regards,

Don

I see now. DO is not used at all in EAs.

Bid vs 5 LWMA shift 1 Open is used in one EA, and D1 1 SMA Open vs DP and Bid vs D1 1 SMA Open is used in the other EA.

Guess DO is not used. So really do you want me to go by the rules printed on chart, by the rules in one EA, or the rules in the other EA? 3 sets of rules makes me disagree that not much has changed. I would like clarification if you don't mind.

D1 1 SMA Open is not in template BTW.

I believe you choose the buy or sell EA based on your observed order of DO and DP. The purpose of the last pair of EAs is to allow you to enter after the initial retracement without having to sit at the screen all day.

There's a downside to doing any coding for a system that isn't complete -- it's very difficult to hit a moving target. You need to be aware and accept that there may be changes again tomorrow or the next day or the next... as Bob has more time to deepen his understanding of what he has presented to us. He may even come back and say that there isn't sufficient edge and he is going to put this method on the shelf for a while.

The point is, if ambiguous or changing requirements frustrate you, you may want to look at another project to occupy your coding time while this method continues to evolve.

The EA is just a choice. The rules have not changed open above pivot buy open below pivot sell. The EAs are just options on where or when to enter. You will see many of those but keep with the simplicity of the system. If you add 10.2a then weekly above monthly buy weekly below monthly sell in confluence with 10.3 means bigger profits. If the open and daily pivot are between monthly and weekly pivot then you have range time and smaller profits. EAs are just for entrances based on personal preference they are not part of the daily reads for how to trade that day.
