Happy birthday to us

As I type this, it is November 15th 2012 here in the UK.

This makes it one year on to the day since I started this forum, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US

I started this forum after effectively being chased off a much bigger one this time last year. I assumed this one here would attract a couple of members, then fizzle out within a couple of weeks.

A year on and nearly 5,000 members later we are going strong. Why? Easy?

• We have attracted some of the best and most imaginative minds in retail Forex trading. I assume The Minds have bodies attached, but who knows? Whatever attracted you, oh much-revered Brains Trust, your contributions are stellar and we are all indebted to you.
• The mods do not allow a single moment of the kind of rubbish that destroys so many other forums. Mods, your contribution is out of this world. You are entirely to thank for the atmosphere here and we salute your for this.

Then we have the single most important individual without whom none of this could have happened. Erwin (fate12); all our thanks. Without you stepping forward and hosting this forum, I could not have started it. Without you continued support, we could not do what we do here.

Happy birthday gals and galesses, guys and guyesses. We have come a looooonnnnngggg way in a year; goodness only knows how far we shall travel in the next.

First and foremost, I would like to thank Sir Steve Hopwood for having been expelled from the other place. That was the best thing that ever happened to me!! Sir SH made this place my second home (and this is a lot cheaper than a cottage!)

And to all of you, SH Forum members, thank you for being so constructive in your posts and helping me and others to develop our FX trading and coding skills. You all deserve a BigMac for that !

Thanks to Steve and all the other contributors coders and posters making this one of the best forums on the internet. My biggest regret as a member of this forum is that I lack the knowledge to contribute more. Aside from what I learn here my greatest enjoyment is that we have almost no "snipers" who try to make up for their own ignorance by tearing down others. This old fart is proud to be a member.
