Further evidence of the crims behaviour.
On my live platform I had a buy, and 20 pips in the green. The Demo opened up a sell on the same pair, and rapidly moved to profit (50 pips) while my live barely moved 5 pips.

one of the worst criminals: alpari. a good example for a really weird pricefeed is the news in NZD last week. after bad news for nzd, the eurnzd spiked up strongly.

on alpari demo the price went almost 1000 pips down before it spiked up. one of my demos took a bad hit, although it was in eurnzd buy.....

Hi guys, I have been testing Slopey Slope for about 4 weeks now, using Cuz's settings and letting MPTM (also Cuz's settings) manage the trades. Unfortunately my broker reset my demo and I lost the first 2 weeks of data. But on those 2 first weeks, results were steady up, until I got 3 or 4 trades that hit SL, so that wiped out all the profit and a bit more. The link below is for the results from the 9th of this month. It looks great, specially getting on the right side of 3 JPY trades.

One thing that has had an affect in the results is that, JS does not seem to be working, even with MPTM, so all the trades, even if they go well onside, almost always end up with a 10 tick winner. I also tried Trailing Stop and still did not work. So for some trades, I set up a TS manually.

YES! this is exactly also the problem im getting, i thought it was a problem with my broker/s. jumpsing stop is not working even with the MPTM settings i obtained from cuzgeorge. sometimes it means you have lots of trades well into the green, high equity gains, only for it to fall back to a 10 pip gain per trade.

cuzgeorge can you look into this? and/or tell us the broker the settings are working with for you?

So great to see action with SS.

Okay, MPTM, as you propbably know, needs ticks. I use a blank EURUSD 1M chart for it. I have noticed in the passed, when i change TF's MPTM snaps into action. This happened when i was running it on a dollarIndex chart. I havent had this issue for a while though and since running on the 1M EUR chart.

In the settings, i have'nt changed the basics, but what you can play with is 'JumpAfterBreakEven', you can set that to false, or also 'false' for 'AddBE'. It sounds like you guys are going passed BE and then JS is not kicking in. CHeck the spread and the pips on the pair you are trading. It can appear very far away on a chart, but i assure you it still works, at least the MPTM i'm using. I downloaded it when i started the demo, so its been a while and i dont think there have been any updates to MPTM since.

try those differences but first make sure that all the TradeManagement option in SS are set to false. You WILL get conflicts and errors if not.Maybe there was an error in the start/stop or restarting, updating of the terminals.

About errors, make sure the Jumps and BE allow for the minimum of "twice the SPread' rule most criminals allow, otherwise you're bound to get those invalid sL or TP errors. My settings worked fine with the ava criminal. All positions will, or should eventually SL out when t he trend changes by the allowed space(pips) between the jumps.

As for my version. I have now increased the SL of 100 to '200' now as i found SS would always SL out and then move into profit like you guys have noticed. I am scared to run completely with-out SL but will soon be doing this to all my demos as discussed before with SpotTheSpot. Its a decision i want to take to filter out any EA's that take wrong positions, this way it becomes very clear which ones are worth spending months demoing or not. Although SS seems to get in a little early, the positions always eventually seem to move in the right direction. Thats why i'm still on this EA and still looking like its growing. I have had the odd slap across the face with a 100 pip loss(SL), but my manual positions would eventually make a closed profit. Lets see how the new settings work here, probably after the weekend, no time at the mo.
I am following SUndogs demo using his basket setup. I like his approach, but keeping to trading the pairs seperately. No use all of us testing the same.

Thanks Cuz, I'll try to change a few things on MTPM, but one thing, I am not trading any pair with too wide spread.

One question, how is Sundog trading SS? Sundog, do you mind sharing your set file. Thanks!

Im using Georges set file from page 6, i've been away a few days and my demo machine is "resting" but iirc there is no changes in the file, though given georges comments I will increase the SL to 200.

Cool Sundog, that's the one I have been using as well, but I'll keep my SL to 100 and TP to 200. Last week I had 2 trades that actually reached TP, and no SLs.

I also just started testing another version of SS, similar settings as the other one, but set "use Slope Value" to true. Let's see how it goes this week.

I leave mptm to close out the entire position as a basket when the overall profit reaches +1%.

This has increased the balance by 12% and worked well until last week. From there, I am stuck with trades in what looks like permanent dd of up to a third of the accrued profits.

I shall just leave the basket alone and see what happens.
