10.3 SCALPER/RANGE TRADE SYSTEM

This is the "short" version. You can always choose what you want to show before hitting OK when placing indicator. That's what the inputs are there for.

As far as resources it takes up, all I can say is I have had problems yesterday with my Empty4 locking up every hour. Figured at first it was FXDD making my platform unresponsive for first minutes of every hour. Then I thought maybe it could be the re-calculation of pivots at start of every hour (60 minute update is an input, you can set it once a day for all I care. It's an input though, so enjoy fiddling with it ti your heart's content.

Since I work on a 4-year-old Mac laptop, then I'm using Wine to run Windows software natively. I can normally run multiple Empty4 instances at same time no problems, so slowdown is unusual for me. I started Activity monitor, and found that wine was taking up 100% CPU. So I stopped running my software with WineSkin Winery and tried another free product WinOnX. I now don't have any problems. I don't know how slow it is on actual Windows with all the overhead of the OS. If the user thinks it's slow, just think about the developer - me. I had to re-compile after every change to get the layout right. You have to place once. After it loads, should be good to go, unless you're having the locking up at beginning of hour. I was able to easily change the Wine product I was using. If you're using Windows, I'm sorry, can't help you there. Try a lighter version? (Might want to try Windows XP Black Edition you can find on web)

I honestly can say that I can't make this indicator better. Other coders can try. I'm no pro. User can set ManualMode to true and manually set their Eastern time hour offset to lessen resources if under assumption that it's taking too many resources. Other than that, since open and pivots and S/R are core of system, I can't figure out how to do without having to calculate them. And if I want them correct, I can figure of no other way to do this. So it is what it is.

P.S. The DS Store file is an invisible Mac OS X file that you can disregard. It keeps the position, size, etc. of window on Mac in this DS Store file. Good for nothing on Windows.

@don It is a great thing you do there. Is it any burden if I request only to have the first 8 columns information as the light version (so I can actually use it at my Empty4 without freezing). I really want to use it but no chance due to "not responding" problem at my Empty4
So I just want the most basic information that will allow me to trade 10.3 with ease.

This is being posted on 10.3 and 10.2a CTS forums.

I haven't been around on the thread in a couple weeks and just got back and am trying to get updated myself on CTS.

I've been on Bob's thread for 10.3. Although everyone in the industry seems to be of the mistaken belief that we're all looking at the same information, we have not been. I have done my best to fix this, so that when we talk of Day open prices, Daily pivot, and S/R from that pivot, we are all on the "same page", talking "apples vs apples" instead of "apples vs oranges". Time for day open is now set to 5 PM Eastern, internationally recognized as the end of the Forex day. So we have 5 full days in the Forex week from Sunday 5 Eastern to Friday 5 Eastern. Please use these indicators on H1 chart as this is where they where built and shown to be correct (and we are dealing with hour offsets from Eastern time afterall).

Here is updated indicator. The only change from last version is I corrected the colors of DO and DP lines, so that DO is White, and DP is Lime, like Bob's latest template (we'll call it 10.3 since he combined 10.2a and 10.3 so both signals are on AllPairs indicator).

Weekly open/pivots/S/R aree wrong too!

If you notice the W1 pivot column, on left SyncCriminalOpenTimes is set to False, so uses Baluda's code. Baluda's code is not the problem. The problem is Empty4 giving wrong information on day beginning. When my code is used for week start, we get WILDLY DIFFERENT pips from pivot for W1.

We don't have enough bars by default to use my method on monthly, so I don't know how we check that, but I'll be building a Weekly version of my OpenPivotSR indicator.

But as any MQL4 programmer knows (even hacks like me , gotta have a complete strategy to implement into the EA shell, cause if not, it's just a shell of what it could be

Well, I finished the week from Wed. Just trading euro opening and USA opening 20-12. After a rough start I went 27 - 27 for the week but had a 2 pip advantage on ratio so a 54 pip week. After starting 1/10 I went 26/17 after that lousy start. So placing trades just before market openings seems to be the best way to trade this system. Next step will be trying to improve the pip win to pip loss ratio. Have a happy weekend. Steve has added the partial close to the jump EA so we can move the jump SL quickly take half profit at twenty and let the rest ride with the SL in profit. I will post it later. Back to bed for me.

Don's universal lines with my lines are not that much different but the ability to use the lines in time for the JPY Open will be precious. So I like the universal lines very much. They make for a very neat clean field. Also my DO EA will play it is the red line on the screen which is almost identical to the white line.

However if there is movement during the Aud/Nzd opens then it cant be used. See the Gold x's below. so we need to change the sub routine on the DO EA OPEN program

The 5.1 EA will not need to be changed though, it will work with Don's lines. Thanks Don. I will start trading Don's universal lines starting Monday so we can all be on the same page. His weekly open.pivot on the 4H chart is also very good. This will be combined with the 10.2a system on the 4H chart to keep it all consistent. Here are 10.2a trades from the 4H chart. Trade areas marked in blue on the chart. With Don's lines and partial profit EA of Steve we will be in business Monday. The last blue area using the partial close would net +20 and then run for over 200 pips on the last half. Now we are talking turkey.
