I am stunned, touched and humbled by the response here. When Erwin made his incredibly kind offer to host the forum on his company's server, I accepted assuming that about 5 people would register and the forum would fizzle out in about the same number of days. Glad to be wrong.

The Brains Trust is here. Not sure why. It is enough for me that they are. Success follows these people.

IMHO you MUST keep your FF profile very much active. I agree totally regarding the idiotic management of the FF. BUT speaking from personal experience, 3/4 years ago I would have loved to had access to a coder who would have coded my ideas to a workable EA for a very, very modest fee of $100.

I know you did not set out to be a professional EA designer, but having put thousands and thousands of hours of hard work into coding EAs it is just and deserving to provide this service and have some additional funds at your disposal by the way of fees charged. There are many traders out there who want a designer EA but think that the cost is much higher than what you charge. By having maximum exposure on the web you help them to find you and reach their goal.

I think I speak for everyone when I say we are very happy for you to be properly rewarded for your efforts and industry. If I was you I would even put some adverts on the empty spaces on the left and right of this panel, advertising your own services and why not some criminals also. Lets face it we all need criminals and can not trade without them.

Thanks very much my friend. The fact is, I do not have time to maintain a profile at FF, even were I allowed to. I can barely keep up with what is going on here.

Besides, however misplaced sometimes, there is pride. There is as much chance of me emailing TIT with, "Ok, I have removed my plug for my coding services" as there is of an Aussie cricket captain saying, "Yep, the Poms are going to crush us next time around."

I will look into the advertising space thingy. I had not realised there is any space. I use Firefox with Adblock Plus, and so never see any ads.

As time went on a few brokers started to advertise and then as we all know things grew exponentially from there on until the day came and FF was sold. I have no idea of the exact figures involved but there was considerable income from the advertising which in turn lead to all the great tools and functions that FF has today. It was a very interesting journey to watch. There was a time tho when priorities changed and decisions were made based on what the advertisers preferred as opposed to what would suit the members.

You can make your forum anything you want it to be Steve as I feel you already have the base for a very nice place for traders to hang out in.

Which is why this forum is attracting members. I think we can all agree that FF is not a very pleasant place to hang around. I think it has gone too far over to the dark side.

I am not a Rugby fan and so cannot give a definitive answer. My limited understanding is that they were physically in the country but left their brains and playing skills at home.
