Serious Warning: by participating in this thread, you might learn something.
This thread is to post your screen shots of successful trades taken by the EA TT2P. The trades must be taken with the price action Supply & Demand strategy. Sam Seiden teaches this method.
Link to the EA called TT2P (Tipster Trendlines 2 Targets).
The intent of the thread is:
- learn how to use the screen shot feature to review your trading activity
- review other traders successful trades and learn from them
- pat yourself on the back, like a reward
- learn how to pick levels, and trade price action, not indicators
What to post:
- TT2P screen shots located in Empty4\experts\files\REAL_Screen_Captures
- successfully completed trades (break even or profitable)
- quick summary explaining reasons why you took the trade
How to upload image:
Upload the image as an attachment (like a file) and then once it's there you click "attach inline"
What NOT to post:
- Only TT2P screen shots, no other screen captures
- No set-ups, only completed trades
- Unsuccessful trades (defined by anything less than break even)
- Questions that can be answered by yourself by doing a little research on your own.
- Trades that you entered "just because" - you need rules / reasons.
Note: YOU MUST REVIEW YOUR OWN UNSUCCESSFUL TRADES. It will not help others to review your unsuccessful trades, but it will help you. This is one of the most importing things to review. When you look at an unsuccessful trade, ask yourself, did I follow my rules / strategy?
Reviewing your trades:
At the end of each period (I do this every two weeks) - you should review ALL of you trades. Start with the last two weeks and write down your findings in a book. Then review your other previous trades and your notes. This is just like studying. If you absolutely need to post your losing trades, it should be accompanied by your rules that were met when you took the trade. This might help those that are starting out, they would post their trades and others can help them understand.
Easy way to review the images:
I set the properties "customise" of the directories with the images to "pictures", this lets me click the "slide show" in the menu to go through the images. I also include a single file called "_1_first file.gif" and its an all black image. This tells me the slide show has cycled back to the beginning.
Other Ways to See Levels that Work:
Use the chart to see what levels work:
Another way to see what works and what does not is to us the chart sitting right in front of you.
Turn off the auto scroll. Hit the Home key. Now hit F12 and it will scroll the chart bar by bar. Put a symbol where you would enter, exit stop and target (roughly). Scroll. Keep marking entries and exits, don't look to see if you would have won or lost. When you get to the end of the chart, hit Home and record how many winners losers and approximate pips won/lost. You don't need to be super accurate here, this exercise is to tell you if your picking good levels or not. You'll learn something just from this quick exercise. Your first time, do it for 5 minutes and review. it really is an eye opener.
Play The Game:
The other options is to try this game. Again it is important here to remember in this game - don't worry about accuracy, just pick the levels. If you suck you will know after 10 trades.
How has reviewing screen shots helped me?
Note: Lately I have been working on getting the bugs out of the EA, before that I ran into the thief at PFG. These two items have pulled me away from routine and I have noticed it in my results. Prior to the PFG fiasco, I was getting better every week.

My recent trade
Here are some of my recent trades;
For those new to TT2P - this EA is a tool to help you place manual trades. It takes screen shots as well. It also places a vertical black dashed line at the entry. This file is a screen shot from Empty4 running TT2P
Here is a short.
Reason short - Daily topped out at prior highs from months ago, daily trend headed down (HH's - LLs)
Trend line sloping down. I don't usually trade trend lines, I use them to tell me momentum of the trend.
In this case, I tried to line up entry with the trend lines and the supply zone. Looks simple after the fact, doesn't it.

Good one there AB. I wouldn't bother posting here without proper completed trade and h.m (home work) but what's a PFG? Kindly excuse my ignorance.
I misses a trade on Friday on EU by 1 or 2 pips using the TT2P tool. I would have booked first TP today with it. Sure there'll be many more to come, will get back with them.
Thanks for the game link. Maybe it has a better place at the utilities section. Thanks for this thread, much needed. Cheers, mC.

PFG is a broker - the owner was stealing money and faking the books / reporting to NFA and authorities, A bunch of my money is stuck in bankruptcy court. It's disturbing....McNish wrote:Good one there AB. I wouldn't bother posting here without proper completed trade and h.m (home work) but what's a PFG? Kindly excuse my ignorance.

Great idea for this thread... its good food-for-thought. I am still learning Sam's style but I like it a LOT. I have not fully-completed my analysis of how I trade this style, so it's possible that some of these trades will get the axe -- as in, they could be labeled "bad form" by me once I figure out exactly what that is.
Btw, for anyone new to Sam's method, here are some of my favorite links where you can read more:
His weekly article is here
and he has a ton of webinars here
Reason: fresh demand level; 3:1 profit potential easy; price zoomed away from the demand level initially and then zoomed into the demand level at entry.
Bad things: this pair EURNZD tends to be spikey, may need wider stops Reason: fresh rally-base-drop supply (Sam likes these); 3:1 potential easy; price zoomed to the supply level Reason: fresh demand level; 3:1 potential easy; price zoomed to demand level (the dotted cyan lines are where i manually managed the stop level after first target achieved) Reason: fresh demand level; 3:1 potential easy
Bad things: in my post-analysis of failed trades, one thing I'm specifically looking at is whether entry levels like this are less-fresh due to price "recently" trading a lot at that level. Reason: fresh rally-base-drop supply (Sam likes these); 3:1 potential easy; price zoomed to the entry level; proven demand level below.

@Dusktrader,
do you use an indicator to identify Supply and Demand Levels?

No indicators, I'm a naked trader. The supply/demand levels are easy to identify once you know what to look for. Watch Sam's videos because this is his core strategy and he covers it in every video.akara wrote:@Dusktrader,

Hi there,
I have read Sam's stuff sometimes ago now and I always found it difficult to qualify how "fresh" a level is. It seems to all depend on how far you go back on your chart. If it is not an issue for you, would appreaciate if you could share your wisdom on this.
Thx

Shots from older version of TT2P
Here are some screen shots from an earlier version of TT2P. I think the levels are self explanatory.
You can see that if you wait and pick good levels your trade can travel quite a distance.
Just scroll back on your chart and pick some levels for practice.
These trades are from my account I had with PFG before the implosion caused by a greedy old man.
