FF pisses me off.

No I don't mean firefox but forex factory. I have to be "vouched" for and moderated like a little child and I can't PM anyone and have to wait seemingly ages to see if my regular messages even get "approved". By then, everyone has read past them and then don't respond. How the hell am I supposed to be vouched for? I don't know anyone and my trading sucks.

Hehe. We are all here because FF is so badly managed. Without TIT's incomparably ability to get rid of good people, I would not have started this forum.

I am surprised that your posts require constant moderation before being posted. Perhaps you could ask the moderating team why? Don't hold your breath for an answer, mind; I never received one from them.

You folks are probably right. There is more than enough here to digest. Plus its a better % grade of people here.
I guess the hardest part is not being able to PM. I'm a bit of an obsessive information collector and I go to FF for news and something in the forums catches my eye and first thing i know I'm wanting to PM someone and I can't and that feeling of having something just out of reach because of some control freaks just torques me, LOL

I guess it really burned when I had another account instead of sojourner777 there and I made a few posts and such and then got involved in this forum and some others and didn't do much else there then one day decided to post something and it said my membership had been denied. WTF. LOL So I had to make a whole new ID and stuff.

Yep. That was a real case of, "Hello foot" followed by a blast that could have been heard on Mars as you pulled the trigger.

You will not get away with multiple identities on any forum. Over at FF, TIT only has to vaguely suspect that you might have them to make it impossible for you to do anything at all - I know this because one of our members here was accused of a similar thingy, yet she only had one identity. It caused her endless problems.

You do realise that forum admins can read the IP address you are accessing a forum from, don't you? Doubtless there are sophisticated ways of getting around this, but most people are not that savvy. As a pca, I do not know whether members have multiple identities. I do know that I can ban members by IP addy, so this will also take care of any multiple identities. Maybe TIT picked up on the fact that there are more than one of you?

No, no no no, LOL. I had to MAKE another ID BECAUSE the first one got denied out of nowhere after so many months. There was no reason for the first one to get denied. I had done nothing. Just a few posts at most. Then I didn't post there for the longer time, prolly over a year or something. THen when i tried to make a post i got the 'membership denied' thing right outa nowhere.

I'm thinking they were clearing out the memberships or something of people that were 'inactive participants' or something. I guess i will never know.

There are facilities to 'prune' users who do not post for a certain period. I never use them here because we have a lot of 'silent lurkers'. If members have nothing useful to say, I prefer them not to say it; they are welcome to lurk to their hearts' content.

Ditto members who have not visited for a set period of time. Again, not something I would ever use - there can be umpteen reasons for not visiting a forum. Maybe prune the membership after 10 years, but that is a while away yet. We will all be rich by then, so it will not matter.

Glad to hear you dont use the prune the silent lurkers option.

I slip into that mode occasionally to concentrait more on some trading moves.

And if nothing usefull to add to a thread then best to not clog it up for others.

Am working hard on the last part, building those pip collectors.
