Re: ADAPTING NB10.2A FOR LOWER TF & RM TRADING - 10.2A CTS

Post by censura »

Hi all i am trying something out on the bob scalper method. I am trying to put together and ea I have 2 current problems

1) I want to stop the ea for that pair if the stoploss is hit
2) I am setting the stoploss to the Daily Pivot (DP), I have the DP value set in Global Varibles and am pulling this value into the ea fine (I display it on the chart via screen message) but using this code does not seem to work to set the stop loss when a trade is triggered

double stop = NormalizeDouble(DP ,Digits);

bool result = SendSingleTrade(OP_BUY, TradeComment, Lot, Ask, stop, take);

Trade is being sent but with sl 00000

Help please

I don't understand what BOB EA scalper has to do with CTS system ? Censura, it is not accurate to post your request in BOB 10.3 Scalping method ?

+1

Btw, CC could you give us some feedback on your cts trading?

For now I'm making some pictures/book/cheats sheet for cts.
Would it be possible for you to give me some past of your entries (good or wrong) with the CTS system ? That would help me a great deal.

Best regards to all of you,

Fable

ps: If anyone else who's trading CTS could do the same, I really appreciated it !
I'm currently trying to make a pdf with all possible CTS settings.

thx in advance
Guido

PS: i'am a Little bit irritated that the thread is nearly dead. CTS looked so promising...

@Guido
I'm also irritated that it's gotten so quiet in here. But I think it is also because CC is not writing here anymore and we need him to further improve a system which has an amazing potential in my opinion. I'm not an experienced trader but I got really big results with it in the beginning. I doubled a small account within 2 weeks but then lost half of it because I got impatient / greedy and took too many trades which were not a clear entry (not bouncing off MP, counter trend etc.).
I also got good results with spotting divergences on RSI or MACD to confirm entries in an early stage.
At the moment I have less time to spend in front of the screen for manual trading so I'm curious for an EA. Although it's hard for me to imagine that a complex system like this can be automated sufficiently but we'll see. So this is still the best manual system I have used so far.

Hi sorry, I have away I went to see some friends in Marocco and improve a bit my health.

Well for me CTS, give me pretty nice results, but it could be way much better, I don't "master" it yet.
So it's CTS trading is still a on going trading system for me.

I have made some small change and I'm currently testing it (for now results are better, I'll keep you update, if it's convincing).

Hi Fable.

Health Comes first! :-)
I also hope that CC will come back. I don't know the reason why he is not posting anymore.

@Fable: Did you got some news from CC?

It's a shame the thread is dead...

coolncalm wrote: The system works because of the way it is carefully built-up using several components that can each achieve one of the things we are looking for in a consistently profitable system - usability in any market condition, the right setting of trade direction, the right timing of entry & exit, and the right pair selection (though it is a complex coding challenge, I doubt we can get to the objectives with a simpler approach).

NB10.2a's groundbreaking pivot formations were extended for direction setting, ExtremeTMA's alerts developed for profit-maximizing timely exits, then modes were defined for entry in each market condition. I believe that with pair correlation and carefully defined baskets, a fine-tuned CTS should be able deliver a daily average of 500-1000pips consistently (the key word). That may yet be as close as CTS can get to a holy grail system (oh, may we stand on the shoulders of giants - Nanningbob & Alorente - to reach higher ground :D ).

We'll see...

Cheers,
CC
:ugeek: Well CC it seems we will not after all... :(

The last post of CC was the 15 November 2012. Absolutely Not normal, when this thread shows a lot of nice perspectives.
I guess that something bad has happened to this guy, maybe a traffic accident or bad illness.
I Hope he's still alive.
