Thanks Shelley. Thought so, but wanted to check.
Just checking that you understand that CstTimeFrame = 0 means the current chart time frame and so will be affected if you ever have reason to view the chart on a different tf. Can't see why you would, and I never do; just checking. If you do ever change chart tf, then set CstTimeFrame to 1440.

Good to see the interest in this EA from the number of downloads in post 1.
Just to confirm: out of the hundreds of EA's I have coded, this is far and away the most successful one. It continues to thrive on my live trading account.

I'm confused Steve, if it's thriving on your account, why is Shelley showing breakeven after 6 weeks? Her best test (Candles) had one good day but other than that is mostly flat to down.

IMVHO it's all about the settings (constantly adapting the EA to diff mkt conditions!) + Reducing exposure on certain days/dull or choppy periods + knowing when not to be on the mkt at all (on some periods even on mondays + most fridays + news hours/days, NFP, certain weeks of the year, etc... i.e. homework!)SteveHopwood wrote:Don't know. Still running through different settings here. Not triggered much yet, but great to hear it's got it.
I've found the offspring MultiStochRSI to do quite well also. Early days though.

Mostly, I leave it be.hoek_NL wrote:Good to hear SteveSteveHopwood wrote:Good to see the interest in this EA from the number of downloads in post 1.

Do you do any manual closing or managing on it or just leave it be?
Sometimes I intervene or close manually. EU is headed hot-foot to a major resistance that it has bounced off several times already - pull the D1 out to see this - so I had placed a tp at this. The market has gone quiet this week and will go quieter next, so I have closed all my trades and shut down the platform. No more live trading until the new year.
So my answer really is; it depends, but I cannot definitively list on what. it depends.

Re: Gday Mark 2
And if you set "Lot" manually, be certain to use a multiple of 3 -- 0.03, 0.09, 33, whatever. That's how many lots it opens, and it needs to close them out in 3 separate exits.

Re: Gday Mark 2 Filter
all followers of Gday 2,
A robust reliable EA.
Looking at "Potentially" upping the lot size and % NP nothing greedy GBPAUD 22% with RDD 9%
last 2 yrs But always with an eye on risk - I started looking at each losing trade (find it far better than looking at winning trades once EA trades according to rules) - Looking at reducing drawdown I came across an interesting phenomenon checked on EJ AU and more to follow
1. loosing trades are nearly** always between the EMA5 LW High and low Bands
(**I know I don't like this word either but trading is about stats and possibilities and
must accept can be wrong - my take anyway)
2. Wining trades e.g LONG have close of previous bar is above EMA 5 LW High
SHORTS have close of previous bar below EMA5 LW Low
mmm interesting just a a quick note my middle name is generally not curvefit I just do a lot of staring at charts and asking why not? I also like stats and maybe should keep powder dry until have 200 plus stats on this one - but filtering an EA that rarely trades and making sense of stats is difficult i.e. not enough data ...anyway I just wanted some quick feedback on potential GDaymk2 Filter from experts out there.... plus wife thinks I am having an affair with trading room computers - so need help to get me out of room.
Pic included (ignor "3" on end of filtered trades text it is typo)
