The problem is I never know whether anything going on in my brain is codeable.

Mantkinth has done a sterling job of getting where we are so far but I understand changing the original code is not a pleasant task--especially as this original has been rubbished by the senior coders on this forum.

He has cobbled together 2 strategies that allow you to set various levels of pending limits (7) for the retracement strategy (as per original) and set buy/sell stops for the momentum (trending) strategy.

The MS also allows you to partial close and trail the rest with Chandelier. Its a matter of playing with settings to best suit the currency pair but so far it works. Once again --thanks my Man.

If I could get the above idea re retracement strategy incorporated (without having to rely on set levels) then it will improve the performance greatly.

I've done this manually by taking the next pending trade in line--increasing the lot size dramatically then manipulating the price till its as close as the crim allows (normally 10 pips) to the price. When it fills the TP leaps right up to the price.

The idea is to throw that TP on top of the price (or as near as possible) when it looks like its slowing down/turning. It's seems a lot better than filling 7 levels and praying that price turns enough before your margin runs out. But it means changing the basic original code of the EA.[/quote]

Yes the Sl and TP are always hidden if that option is selected.

Hi all, things seem to have become quite here, I hope pooler is still around. Anyway I have been playing around with the variables in poolers ea. There’s a lot to muck around with. You can see how I have been doing on MyFXBook link using 1 month demos, but this is my most recent demo. I'm going to keep testing/improving and start running some unlimited Cowboy IBFX demos. I'm also going to look at some options using MPTM with it, as there seems to be no interest in wanting to improve this ( I feel ) promising ea. I'm not in a hurry and there are so many great projects currently running that I think I may have to follow the advice that I have seen many times on SHF “ Every trader should learn to program “.
