Cowboy IBFX is one if them - and you would expect someone that big to have everything.

I am just starting out with all this and am taking every opportunity to read and learn as much as i can. Also trying plenty of different things till i find something i can really get into.

I like the look of Andy's EA and strategy (mainly cause its simple!)

I guess its not the right time to trade with the holidays and stuff but wanted to set the EA to see if it would fire and i could then understand why it did etc.

Below is the first trade this morning (5am GMT). Bad news is i am not sure why it did? Price didn't go above the last swing high although it is above the EMA's.

Buy when price goes above the last swing and the Ma 21 EMA is above the Ma 55 EMA

This will, i am sure being me missing something very clear so i would be grateful if someone could explain what it is am doing wrong!

EA use ASK price for Buy open:
if (type == OP_BUY)
...
Ask.Price > GetSwingHigh(symbol,timeframe)

So, Ask price was higher then last high swing.

Andy, is it correct? Maybe we should change Ask for Bid, and Bid for Ask in the DetectSwingCross function?

Dear longytravel, I'm affraid you make mistake when you're thinking that order was opened at tis candle - it is impossible. It was opened at the next candle, please see my picture.
As you can see, AUDNZD was opened at 7.03. I'm special use 5min chart to show this time more exactly.
Ask Price here was above swing.

Hello vm9999,

We always BUY at ask and SEL at bid.

If you don't want to trade the Asian setion, you can set the EA setting to:
extern string tradingHours = "+08.00, -17.00"; // daily for Alpari UK

That way the EA will only trade between those hours, in my case GMT.

One quick further question then. Would we be better waiting for price to be a little higher in this situation to ensure that we are further through potential resistance and therefore less chance of a reversal?

Do we not want to super sure we are through that level?

I'm afraid this is have no sence. We have just only chance to survive - the Basket.
