This is pretty much a text book example of how using a trailing stop on previous candle high/low works so effectively. Trade closed at +284 pips. This demo account is now at +5.9% (drawdown 0.54%) with one trade still open which is currently +30

Bottom line is you don't need too many of these trades per month to be successful...my personal goal is 5% per month which should be achievable.

Hey fxozgirl, mind if I ask which pairs you're trading since you started your new demo?

I'm demo testing on AUDUSD, EURAUD, EURCAD, EURCHF, EURGBP, EURJPY, EURUSD, GBPUSD, NZDUSD, USDCAD, USDCHF, and USDJPY.

Also, I stepped on a general thread reply addressed to you a few posts ago and I think it was buried. My bad.

Also what do you think about having the entry for the trade get activated on the high or low of the signal candle as apposed to the close of the signal.

Thanks RJo for the insight. What do you think about entry off of the high/ low as opposed to the close of the signal candle. wouldnt this help with the trade getting established and not getting stopped out before the trade gets started?

Hi RJo,
Been backtesting trying to get a better understanding of the ea. Question in the pic the green arrow is the signal candle 8/3/11 but it touches both red lines. The red X is the entry candle for a buy which gets stopped out. How much of the candle has to touch to null and void this trade?

Sam, not sure if you need the indicators on screen to run the EA (but I have them as a good visual)

See screenshot below, but you need to add 2 Moving Average's, change parameters to 5, Exponential & High on the first one and 5, Exponential, Low on the 2nd one.
