Dec 13 is when all the trend following systems / EA's started kicking butt again. How did this EA go before then?

He was running this bot nearly 2 months with AVA since Oct 29 until Dec 24 ... other thoughts or experience ?

Hi all,
yes this bot is cruising very well and still active on my demo PC.

I am not able to access the PC running TG at the moment and need to point out that Steve has changed , or updated MPTM. As soon as i can, i will update the set file to the latest one and edit the post too.

Was going to wait before i posted, but i realised the change in MPTM and i am receiving PM's about this setup.

I am also having great difficulty getting all my demos from ava to update from the 24th. Fxbook tells me they are not receiving a signal from ava's servers and ava tells me its something ive done. I have changed nothing and the passwords are as they were from the beginning. I have tried changing the passwords manually and connecting again, but no luck, i have also tried forcing a re-connect to force the update, but no luck again.
It appears they dont want me running so many demos so they've canned them. I'm afraid to say this info will be lost if they dont allow the investor passwords to work again. My demos are running just fine on the PC's with all the history showing but I dont know if they can change what they've already done. This is what i know so far.
FXbook history is safe as it is now, so i'm not closing the platforms for fear of losing the info we already have on the various EA's. Lets see what the new week brings for us, i will contact my acct managers at ava again and will be closing my accounts with them if no joy.

Please be patient with me, i get home late tonight and will update as soon as i get the settings co-ordinated with the new MPTM. Dont know if the present set file will work correctly with the new MPTM.

Hi All,

Some of you might know my demos have stopped updating since the 24 Dec, while i try to sort the demos out, here are two pics showing the open positions and the closed positions since November for TG.

My notes include that TG only takes one position for each pair its traded on.

He is very slow to trade and can sit with open trades for weeks, but he refuses to lose on a trade and will wait for the trend to go in his direction as the set file allows.

I turned the volume up as posted before, and the acct balance has obviously increased accordingly. I cannot give an indication on what size demo acct to run, but a full lot should only be used on a 100k account. DD can go high but i have not had anything bad worth mentioning happen. The worst was this latest trade on USDCHF that went wrong in a big way, but nothing more than i've already made on a single trade. See attached pics.

My zeljko settings are false and i'm not using positive swap filters, this might be something you guys would like to experiment with. I'm very curious to see how positive swaps will work on TG.

I am changing only the EURJPY pair setting to true for pos swaps, the rest are staying as false like before.
Because of their very close correlation to EURJPY, i'm adding the pair of CHFJPY with the swaps to false. This should give us an idea if JPY trends like it has lately, which setting would be better.

I think its important to use the daily pivot setting at true, so please be aware of this also.

PPPSSS: I almost forgot, i updated the post with the set file and MPTM set file on page 2. The set files are correct and will work on the MPTM you are using, even if you downloaded MPTM a few months ago or today.

Hi all,
just noticed ALL the positions are buys only. Could this be a bug? i have all settings for swap to false, except for the new CHFJPY pair i mentioned earlier. Previously only on 7 pairs on 1HR charts only, now its 8 charts. See previous chart pics for pairs traded.

Nope. My trades have been a mixture.

The same here - look into my MFXB acc: only BUYs ! But its no wonder that I have the same results like George: I use with Cowboy Go Markets the same setfile

Good to know. I will add a few more charts, based on lowest spreads, and try different settings.

Please remember if you use my set file with a pair with high spread, you're probably going to get those irritating 130/1 errors , either remove the offending pair, or change the settings in MPTM. TG wont bother with spread as the setting is high at 12.
