great results fxozgirl and thanks to chicagorob. but i have loaded chicagorob setfile on 1hr charts and although its trading well, trades seem to be dragging their heels in closing. my equity yesterday night was over $400, now its down to $230. is there some option that i need to change that im missing? im using hotforex demo 5 digits ecn. any help would be appreciated

Can't help you with the closing problem, but the setfile is for D1, only. I don't know how it would perform on lower time frames. I would recommend running it in your tester, in visual mode, and see
what's going on.

sorry, i meant D1 charts its running on...but in either case as per the post above its hardcoded to D1...hmm...

regardless of whether it is set to true, or false. The graphs and stats reveal identical
performance. If I'm doing something wrong, or missing something, please advise.

thanks for this great ea...fully appreciate you sharing this.
i put the version v1z on my demo ic markets account yesterday and inadvertently placed it on h1 charts, the ea actually triggered trades based on the h1 chart..2 trades were triggered . i found it odd caused u mentioned its hardcoded to d1 ? not a big problem i suppose but just reporting this anomaly.

I advise forward testing where I have tested UsePrevHighLowTS successfully. I don't rely on the tester for anything but determining whether an EA is completely defunct.

I do a lot of forward testing, but I was just curious, since all the other functions seem to be working fine in the tester.

I have been following the development progress of your The8_EA and running some forward multi-pairs tests. So far, the result is not bad, but recently some trades have been closed in negative.
I have previously read from FF in The7's thread, where Silat50 uses the MA angle to filter his trades; so I have visual checked some recent loss trades with the MA angle indicator and they seemed to be triggered by the EA while the MA angle was still in opposite direction to the trades.
If you would like to consider adding an MA Angle indicator to filter the EA opening trades, I think it is worth to try.
In the attached SS, I have added 2 indicators where the today's NZDCHF trade was not match with both indies.

My results from last week (broker Alpari UK). On 15th I used v1y. From 16th I changed to v1z. Trade GBPCHF was a manual intervention (Hedge bec. trade went long) . HWM was 9.950.- Proft > reached later 7.700, then all Pairs closed with trailling SL -> Profit 7.161,- .
