ROBST3R! I've been interested in Renko for a while and just came across this thread. Is your Renkonator system based on this EA or the ChangeTheColor EA? Or is it top secret?!

Strategy
Very simple: The ea will buy when the color changes to green and will close when the color changes to red, when red the ea will directly open a sell trade, easier then this it can`t be! I`m testing this on renko box5 but it will also work on different boxes.

This is almost the same as a strategy i used a few months back, only i used a normal m5chart with ma5 shift2 as filter and synergybars. U can read the thread here wich was created by my dear friend Magft

EA inputs
You will find descriptions of many of the inputs in the attached Shell User Guide. This covers most of the widely used, generic inputs. Since the shell EA code contains so many more options that the strategy calls for, the OOTB settings are not necessarily consistent with the strategy and may not even make sense. After sufficient testing we may come up with meaningful OOTB settings. Until then, be sure to review them.

Sharing with FF
Feel free to upload the EA to FF, once we've achieved a level of stability.

I have done a lot of back test and the results are pretty promising, we have added alot of options in the ea, but i`ve set most off them to false, because it looks to me that the options do not help.

In conclusion
Let the bug reports begin! And lets make this thing work for everyone

I am having a problem with "strange symbol name" on renko EA's. My broker has both feeds EURUSD & EURUSDm. Trades can only be placed on the EURUSDm charts. When I put the Renko EA on the "m" charts, the offline charts for the "m" series are not available. Despite setting "strangesymbolname" to "true"
Can anyone help with is?

Its been a while since my last reply!

Is anyone familair with renko backtesting?

I am playing with renkobacktest scripts for a while now and have downloaded lots of m1 tickdata from 2001 till present, but i`m having strange results with renko when i use jumping ore trailingstops.

Look at the backtest picture, it seems that when i test with renko bricksize 10 and use a jumping/trailingstop of 10pips that the m1 data isn`t good, because the jump/trailingstop isn`t often hit, so the profits seems very big in the visual backtest chart!

Anyone knows a reason for this results?

I`m using a renkobacktest script, so the entries and exits are valid.

NM just saw your setfile... so anytime a color change occurs under these settings a trade will close/open in the opposite direction?

Had some mixed results so far. gbp/jpy has been the best pair thus far. I think a box between 2-5 pips works extremely well. Ive d issues with positions going into profit and not closing upon candle color change any suggestions through any of the sl settings to fix that?

That is why i use higher boxes. Only have to be patient with higher boxes! But its more easy to use a jumpingstop with higher boxes. So after +10 pips on box 10 sl will be sett to be and after 20 pips sl +10 and so on!

Low boxes dont work because spread kills it
