I tried to set this up showing the 2ma open on the monthly but couldnt get it to work right. Can anyone update this histogram to show the distance of price from the 2MA open on the monthly and you can see it on any chart.

I had a quick look. At first it didn't work properly, but then after doing pretty much nothing other than re-compiling, and changing charts/timeframes, it just started working. possibly something to do with having to background load missing monthly data?

I'm writing an indicator that highlights the 3 main trading sessions. I thought it would go well in conjunction with the pivots. There has been a sessions.mq4 floating around for literally years. However, I wanted one that added extra information about the session. Specifically:
Session Range (High/Low)
average session range (like an ADR but just for that session)
current % of session range
current % of ADR

So, I created the indicator and here is an example screen shot:

The numbers on the top of the Asian session read:
1.33637, 63.9 / 42.7 - 149.6% (108.4%)
Which means:
The high was 1.33637
The session range was 63.9 pips
The average for the session is 42.7 pips
The percentage of the session average is 149.6%
and that is 108.4% of the ADR.

I liked the layout initially as I could quickly establish what was going on in the sessions and how it related to average vol.
However the problems occur when either zooming out or changing the time frame.
If I change to the 1H it starts to become quite cluttered:

So, do you guys have any ideas of how to present the information in a better way? If it was just for the current day then I would use fixed text in a corner, but I want to be able to have a historical view of the sessions. Any thoughts or ideas?

If you put too some information on the same line, so manage to split it in 2 parts and put that in 2 lines.
Difficult to code that in mql ? I don't think so man.

I am working on a my final edition, hope to be done in a couple of weeks. I have pooled all of the 10.0 series into the 4 hour chart and I think I can come up with a complete final edition that really wont need to be changed. I fine tuned all my knowledge into one package. I want to test drive it for a couple of weeks and take my time making sure it covers all the bases. 10.3 wont change much, but I will give all 3 versions in the final edition. Trading the NY close, Cowboy IBFX open, and each session for scalping. Then I combined the rest of the 10.0 series and based it on the monthly trend instead of the weekly trend and came up with a final trade-able edition. It contains one major surprise change though because I changed the TMA slope to something else that gives much more definitive information. So the next two weeks I want to make sure it all works, post it, go see my family in SanFran and then be ready for the rest of my trading year. I think my goal of finding the right combination that will properly cover most if not all market conditions has come. It took the Monthly charts to do it but I think I got there. The basis of the system will be similar to this post of mine at FF and taking that info to the 4H chart and trading it. There will be specific spots to reenter constantly into these long term trends and building multiple positions. 10.3 will help you when the markets are dead and not moving much. Once the total system is grasped and mastered I am looking forward to being able to trade a full time income if I so choose. Retirement more likely. My long term goal of trading and being somewhat financially free seems to be reaching its goal. I did not do this alone but hundreds of traders over the years have helped me reach it. I guess the one thing I was good at was compiling the ideas into one system.
