Ok re the trade copy, how do i get it to open trades on my live account? or is that not possible.?

There is a manual included with the download of the mt4i copier. I suggest you either first or at the same time play with a separate master and slave terminal (diff channel!!) with the copier and open trades on your own master and client. That way you'll see what the various settings do. Basically all you need to do is:

1. install FMFX's broker terminal client, connect to his account with investor password
2. install your broker terminal (if not already done)
3. install the "MT4iPersonalTradeCopierSetup.exe" to the master and slave Empty4 terminal directories
4. restart both terminals
5. add the "Sender" EA to FMFX's terminal (only 1 chart), the defaults pretty much work for the Sender
6. add the "Receiver" EA to your (DEMO!) terminal (only 1 chart), set the settings your want - primarily MM type
7. make sure the "Channel" matches. it does by default
8. i usually use on the Receiver "TradeAllOrdersAtMarket" = true personally but, you may not want to.
9. i prefer IncludePendingOrders = false on Sender so i don't fill a pending that the Master has not
10. for safety on the Receiver if you don't use Fixed lotsize be absolutely sure you set "MaxLots" because a mistake size entered on the master using a setting like LotsizeMultiplier could cause a margin call or larger than intended loss. just my opinion.

Unfortunately I cannot access your Alpari NZ demo account because I am living in the UK

I just spoke with Alpari NZ and they tell me that they do not offer access to UK residents

Any suggestions from anyone to get around this would be greatly appreciated !

Managed to get around the problem by using the IP address for alpari NZ server ( server name was giving me 'invalid account' message) and using the platform downloaded from alpari UK

Kim, attached the server-info-file. Unzip and put it into the folder C:\Prog...\Alpari NZ Empty4\config

Restart your Empty4 and try to connect with the given login details (Investor login from Fmfx) ... you should use the Alpari-ECN-Demo server ...

Thank you for the suggestion forextrader, but the server name was giving me 'invalid account' but i have managed to get around it by inserting the IP address of the alpari NZ server which i found in FAQ on alpari website
