Margin Monitor EA

I used to have an EA called MaxMargin.ex4 or something like that which monitored margin usage. I believe it wrote any new margin high watermark to a Global Variable. I lost it in some computer moves somehow. I have searched far and wide for it in many forums for a while but, i cannot seem to find it again.

I have been testing some of the multi-pair EAs on this forum and i've come to the conclusion i really need to have a margin monitor as part of my testing to see what kind of margin usage there is at times. This is especially important for USA folks as we only have 50:1 leverage.

Could one of the great programmers here please consider making a margin monitor EA or indicator (when your time permits) that we could use to go along with our testing of these multi-pair EAs? It would help me at least though i'm sure it'd help others too. Thanks.

any kind coder that can create a "max margin monitor" EA for us USA 50:1 folks who have to be very careful trading an EA like crossfader that opens lots of positions? for anyone that considers, thank you for considering!

alright, i appreciate you sharing this! i just did some testing and while it gives great info when your watching i don't think it persistently stores "max margin" used - like a high watermark. what i need is something that can tell me what the max margin used was while i was away (e.g. sleeping). this is to know if my lotsize seems small enough for a given balance for a multi-position/multi-pair EA like crossfader or similar. i wrote the author to ask if he'd consider updating it to monitor max margin persistently. i'll be lucky if he does but, doesn't hurt to ask.

Cool Steve thanks to you or anyone who helps! A persistent global variable which monitors margin high watermarks is what i'd like. The popular iexposure indi would be a natural place to put this additional feature. Alternatively, a dedicated EA or Indi works too.
