Hi Angat,
its upto you to decide what TF to follow, maybe you want to run a backtest (BT). Its really not a 'given' as to which TF to trade.
My preference is the 1hr charts for the terminal, but this has not been a proven case yet, if i knew for sure, i would tell everyone here what is best.

A further question you might have about TG is the daily pivot, i'm still testing two scenarios, one with true and one with false setting.
I'm also testing a TG with-out the indi at all and so far, it does seem to just want to buy. Early days for this as dudest just brought this to our attention, so this starts a whole debate again as that maybe this EA is too 'broken' to carry on with, but if it proves to be stable and a consistant winner over time, well then by hook or by crook , it doesnt matter, so long as it wins consistantly.

Okay thanks and in your opinion how long would you need to run this particular EA before you would deem it stable (and a consistent winner)?

I decided to apply it the 1h TF, with your data set and with dailypivot set to true. Lets see if I can replicate your results.

i think you will, but remember not to install the indi.
Its new to us about the indi, as dudest pointed out recently in previous post, so now i'm trying another angle myself, so this is a week or two old for me now. I would definately run this for a few months and then watch a full retrace of this recent movement we saw in the JPY before i made a 'live' call for this EA. I suppose if this happens, Steve might want to look at the code again as you will be picking up the error in the 'experts' tab about the indi. This will tax your PC's resouces and not really a comfy feeling putting an EA with errors on a live acct.
Lets see, and thanks for testing this. I hope yuo spot something that might make this EA gain momentum again.

Yep,
sounds crazy huh,!
but its getting the buys only and thats why i reckon most will be very wary of this EA. Currently, in huge DD, first time ive been so deep in it with TG due to the current retrace, so lets see where this leads.

My other demos , apart from the one with out the indi, will run with the indi, but here i'm trying all the pivots turned to 'TRUE', you dont have to attempt this, but get an idea of what you think might work, according to the rules of TG, and see if your choices and TF's work better. Thats what i'm trying to do with forward testing and reporting results when something looks positive.

Okay I restarted without the indicator. Lets see how it goes. I don't mind buys only(or sells only) if it stable and consistent - its no big deal.

FYI, I've been back testing this on four pairs since Dec 20th and am currently 17% up. Started badly which diverted my attention away from it.



In my tests, only Multiubob is doing better at currently up 88% but with 62% draw down. It's been up and down like the undergarments of a lady of questionable virtue! It looks set to take another plummet this week, but you never know...



At the moment TG is my current fave to trade live, it is just rising steadily.

What settings are you using for Multibob, as I've been forward testing now for a few months and only growing the account by a few % every month. What broker & leverage are you using, and maybe can you post your setfile for comparison.

Also what pairs are you trading successfully with Trendy Gary?
