Has anyone attempted to decipher the ex4 format?

I know decompilers exist, but just curious if anyone hanging around here has ever attempted to figure out the internal layout of an ex4 file.

I have proof of a nasty bug in either the Empty4 compiler or the Empty4 executer. It would be useful to me to know which one is the culprit. If the problem ultimately resides in the Empty4 executer.....well, what can I say....ultimately I'm not sure I want to even continue investing time in an extremely faulty platform. If it's in the compiler, I can live with that because ultimately a better compiler could be devised.

But all of this depends on how accessible the ex4 file format is.

I think you are completely on the wrong path.
Most probably your code logic is flawed.
Has nothing to do with execution of Empty4.

I appreciate the feedback, but beg to differ. I have an isolated case with print statements and Empty4 compiler definitely has a bug.

Heh. That's very polite of you, Roger.

I personally would bet it has more than 1 bug. Is it worth working around it? You have accomplished a great deal, hopefully this isn't a deal breaker.

Yeah, I found a workaround for now. But I had some alterior motives for asking the original question. In the future id like to consider having ObjectQuotes go straight to ex4. So the question still stands if anyone has any info.

I'll keep plugging away for the moment since there are still unfortunately reasons to stay with Empty4.
