We don't have it too bad down here...Sydney opens 7am, Tokyo 9am , Europe 4pm, London 5pm and the US session 10pm.....not great if you work during the day. Good for longer time frame trading like daily or 12 hr tho.
I am not an EA trader due to the fact we are still in the dark ages here with internet reliability. Auto trading is so interesting and I believe it will become the 'normal' way to trade some time in the future. Makes too much sense!

Why not use a VPS then? Start off with low lots / low risk and get the experience using the VPS / robot
I guess the problem is you cant really demo it for too long as it's costing money to tun the VPS - some brokers will pay for it if your balance is over a certain amount.

I consider myself very lucky because I live in the perfect Time Zone you can have for currency trading. Its GMT +6. I get Tokyo open at 6 AM, London at 2 PM and NY at 7 PM. I wake up 5:50, take a quick peek at the market, if it feels too slow, I take another nap! Wake up before Frankfurt and trade till London close. This is a great Time Zone for Full Time forex traders.

Not only have I heard of it, I know a few people in my company from there. I'm in Toronto Canada, it's the the united nations here. I like the mix, we have people from everywhere. You can learn about any country (almost) just by having a coffee with someone, excellent! There's even a guy on my floor from Mauritius!!

Heard of it? I've even been there a couple of times, but that was a few years ago. I'm in Cape Town, South Africa, GMT+2 so good for European and US sessions.

I live at the end of the world...Santiago, Chile. An expat growing up in Chicago, and ended up in Chile...Married to a Chilean with our beatiful 2yr-old-daughter. Tough I am an engineer by trade, but my passion for forex trading goes back many years. Had my ups and down, and it has been a very expensive education so far!

We are around the same timezone EST....I used to trade manaully, but no success. Biggest problem is my bad discpline which is a must if you want to be a full-time trader.

I am playing with the Scoob forex robot which I sincerely think is my holy grail...holy grail in a sense that at last a simple trading system idea with a very tight MM, and low DD, and the best of all....it can be run 7x24 without making you loose sleep:)

Trading from East Coast US (so GMT -5?). When I traded manually I would place an alert where I felt reversal had momentum and then send me a text which would wake me up. Then I would drowsily analyze the current situation and decide to enter a trade or not.
