I am long USDCAD as well but I missed the USDCHF ( ) but have avoided the JPY crosses - just wasn't sure whether there was any momentum there.

EDIT: Closed all my Gold/Silver trades before the retrace. Have to share this - although isn't quite what it seems as I split each trade in to 3 - so the pip count is kind of meaningless. Still got to love it

Hello,

My experiance this week so far, has really been two main things:-

1. You need to be picky - Take A++ Set up's Supported with Nice looking PA / Confluence
2. Close 50% at b-even

There's enough pairs out there to be very very fussy - Make Sure you are. If your seeing massive divergence along with the signal then skip it, the next one will be around in 4 hours.

It doesn't need to be 5% every week folks

That's what I'm looking to do with this system, the framework is there to make consistent money whilst preserving your account, eventually your going to get a runner that will really help the % account increase.

Don't shoot for the stars here people, slow, small, consistent little bites will grow your account over time. Last week I took way too many signals and ended up chasing beven for the week.

Try taking some profits at beven - these will help your beven stop outs. The amazing thing about 10.4 is that it has account protection at the forefront all the time, very excited about longer term testing with this system.

Again great work bob

What I do that other might want to consider is I split each trade in to 3 parts. So if the pending short is at the WP for example, I would have the SL @ the MA (or where appropriate) and TP's at WMS1, WS1, WMS2. As the first TP is hit a second batch of 3 orders is placed in a similar manner and the trades are set to BE. This way you take a little bit off the table fairly early but allow some of the trade to run.

It seems to be working ok and I feel comfortable with it and you don't feel so bad when the rest get stopped out at BE knowing you've banked a little bit.

Cheers,
Dave.

Seems that today should be a jobs Friday in the US. It was last month when Feb 1 was a Friday.

On the other hand, just as well that it's not given I am not up for the roller coaster ride.

Too bad about the Cad reversal. I got out at BE, along with the Jpy pairs. Opened up EurCad short.

EURCAD looks good - CAD found some serious strength.

I am pretty much done - a few small EU shorts still in play (protected at BE) but that's it.

Have a good w/e.

Heh. Looks like I should have stayed up last night. I trade few Fridays. Pretty much every setup after LO popped. Cool to see some results and hear some challenges.

The edge here on entries is significant. Managing the trades will always be an art. I take half often. A really easy spot is 80-100% ATR, you are almost always going to stall or reverse there. It keeps me in a positive psychological state. Pyramiding the second half with no risk is less painful if you banked some.

I find stopping out due to hyper-aggressive pyramiding too frustrating. So I ratchet my stop in a little slower. Since I took profit already, I can use that to offset the additional risk, for a while, to let the trade breathe. It means I don't get quite the explosive growth, but the equity curve is much smoother and easier on my psyche. Plus the trades I waited patiently for don't get killed by premature greed.

I like base hits over, and over, and over. You guys can take the home runs and strikeouts.

You cant trade that based on 10.4 rules, the price has only just gone below the MA and the RSI topped out while price was above the average....so, it does not meet the 10.4 rules

If you were going to trade it it would be based on a failure on the 1.3333 support level which it has tried a couple of time over the last couple of weeks....

Lets see what it does next week, there are much better trades....

I didn't trade it but cmeade2 did. Consistent with 10.4 strictly? - no, but the rules are a framework - most people are putting a bit of their own spin on things it seems.
