I set my ECN to true on a Alp@ri US demo account a few hrs ago and Gday placed this order
2012.01.02 15:00:32: instant order sell 0.03 CADCHF at 0.92202 sl: 0.00000 tp: 0.00000
I realize I should have ECN set to False on this account being its a instant order crim, but am wondering will having it set to True cause problems?
It has sucessfuly modified the order,
2012.01.02 15:00:33: sell 0.03 CADCHF at 0.92202 was modified -> sl: 0.93802 tp: 0.91362

There shouldn't be an issue with setting ECN = true. All it does is make order entry a two step process, which is perfectly fine with non-ECNs.

I suppose if you have many pairs in play you might have more issues with "Trade context busy" since you are placing twice as many orders all hitting at 0:00 GMT, but even so, it seems unlikely.

Latest update in post 1.

Breakeven still is not working and I am fed up with it now. We are going back to one of my earlier plans, which is to enforce BE if JS is enabled. JS cannot kick in until the stop is at BE or better.

If this doesn't work, then I shall remove the management features entirely from Gday and we will all use mptm.

Breakeven function is working correctly now, cadjpy trade from 29/12 closed 1st 1/3 of trade on 30/12 and moved to breakeven +2

Momentum in the market is very low as would be expected, no trades taken this morning, nzdjpy closed for a loss at cross of stoch at todays open.

Another week or two and we should start seeing some more relevant results from this ea.

do you use Gday standard settings?
And what pairs would you suggest for using Gday?
I would like to try it on a real money account and post my results on this thread!
As far as I can see, it uses manual added lotsize.
Is it possible to add a MM with risk of equity?
