Historic DWMP indicator for 10.x

Historic Pivots
It paints pivot lines and 3 S/R levels for all days, weeks or months in history. With a second instance of the indicator, mid lines can be added. For the current day/week/month, an extension line is drawn, this help to see the levels when a day/week/month has just started

Current version: v1.03

User settings:

pivot_timeframe- daily=1, weeky=2, monthly=3
addMidLevels - set to true for a second instance of the indicator to show mid pivot levels
BarsToProcess - for how many bars calculation is done
showPivotLabel- show text next to the current pivot levels (formerly:showLineText)
various text and color parameters

Comments:

You will find this indicator with different names and changed pre-settings mainly in the 10.x packages, e.g. 10.2 WEEKLY PIVOTS and 10.2 WEEKLY MID PIVOTS

Change log:
v1.01: Initial version as part of 10.2 with a couple of mods that I have not tracked
v1.02:

FIX: extensions lines for mid pivot levels were not shown
ADD: support for brokers with tiny Sunday day candles
ADD: Option to switch line text on/off

v1.03:

FIX: digits and pips for XAU and XAG were wrong
ADD: Price added to label

Attachments:
All attached indicators have the version number in the filename.
HistoricPivots.mq4 is allways the latest.

Nice work Candletiger - cool avitar too. I kind of like the line labels, but I would like to see the price of the line more than the distance from the MA - but maybe there is a better reason for the distance - but will wait for Bob to weigh in on this new mod...

kind of agree, maybe both it helpful. I personally stopped using it. I put it on the request list.

Please remove the indicator and put in back, adjust settings (and save your template).
Yes, label text can be turned on/off.

Hi candletiger,

Even if this is not needed for most of us, you can add option to choose what kind of calculation method one can use. As for now this version is more the enough but as far as i know there are three other methods to calculate this levels. Please treat this not as request, but perhaps someone is used to trade using other tools as majority of us…

Below are formulas to calculate them :
Fibonacci
• Pivot = ( High + Close + Low ) / 3
• R1 = Pivot + 0.382 * (High - Low)
• S1 = Pivot - 0.382 * (High - Low)
• R2 = Pivot + 0.618 * (High - Low)
• S2 = Pivot - 0.618 * (High - Low)
• R3 = Pivot + (High - Low)
• S3 = Pivot - (High - Low)
• M5 = (R2+R3)/2;
• M4 = (R1+R2)/2;
• M3 = (P+R1)/2;
• M2 = (P+S1)/2;
• M1 = (S1+S2)/2;
• M0 = (S2+S3)/2;

Woodie
• Pivot = ( High + 2 * Close + Low ) / 4
• R1 = ( 2 * Pivot ) - Low
• S1 = ( 2 * Pivot ) - High
• R2 = Pivot + (High - Low)
• S2 = Pivot - (High - Low)
• M4 = (R1+R2)/2;
• M3 = (P+R1)/2;
• M2 = (P+S1)/2;
• M1 = (S1+S2)/2;

Demark
If Close < Open Then x = High + 2 * Low + Low;
If Close > Open Then x = 2 * High + Low + Low;
If Close = Open Then x = High + Low + 2 * Low;
• Pivot = x
• R1 = x / 2 - Low
• S1 = x / 2 - High
(i think in this calculation there are no Mid levels)

Thank you Candletiger - very nice work. I like to see the prices at the levels since I set my orders manually. Your levels are slightly different than the 10.2 Weekly pivots used in Bob's original template - but that is probably no big deal.

Hi nh,
thanks for the idea. There are hundreds of pivot indis out there who have it. Mine is mainly visual for backtesting of 10.x systems based on standard pivots.
