Members have complained in the past about becoming disconnected from the forum - and being driven nuts as a result. Can't say I blame them.
Somewhere deep inside the software that runs this forum will be a setting that controls this. Buggered if I can find it. I will eventually.
In the meantime, if this happens to you then try this:
- log out - or wait until you next get booted out.
- go to the login screen and enter incorrect details.
- enter them correctly in the form that appears at the bottom or your screen, and check the 'Log me in automatically at each visit' box.
This is what I have to do from time to time when my browser eats all my cookies. It seems to work for other members as well, so give it a try.
