Hey Roscoe

May have been a good idea at the time, but it may be going down further. It's a pretty trendless market so it's hard to say

Sometime in the future, it will continue south.

I have that area covered with a sell stop in place.

All is good.

He has the sell stop for that. Bases are covered. Only concern I'd have is if they run it up through my pain threshold. You are super heavy, and that make you vulnerable to getting your stop taken if they run it hard against.

LOL on the jealousy. It was said pretty tongue in cheek. ;) I love this in real time. The OB/OS off the 10.4 RSI though are almost a perfect heads up for me to ignore, and then just monitor it a bit. So I'm working that in slowly. I'll likely do it when I want a break or something or go on holiday.

Chart could be setting up for a nice short. I will see what they build up top before entering. Second Leg of the 15 min M will be my sell. Doesn't move enough for me to pay much attention to it.

Hi

I think Laguerre RSI with Laguerre filter is good for counter trends.
This is UJ and it looks good.

buy [sell] and hold?

Post by Gertje »

I was thinking when eyeballing some charts from last year, what if we;
- open trades at every [mid]pivot level in line with 10.4
- do this every week
- make the former week's WP the SL level [or the 240ma]

After 2-3 weeks, the first weeks trades are free, etc.
You end up with a bunch of open orders that MIGHT stay open for the better part of a year and add up quite a bit in the end. Open margin is covered by the floating profit, swap could be a party-pooper.

One could also open seperate trades at every level, 1 [small] trade to hold and the 2nd to play the 10.4 game with TP's and re-openings.

Any pro/ cons?

I think it would be awesome to build equity like that. My tiny brain could do it simply by selling half while in a solid profit, and then letting it ride. Gives me something to smile about without waiting for 3 months.

I hope you take a look and see if there is a pattern worth utilizing. I'll certainly take a look as well. I've always been looking to let the runners just go and go. Truth is once they hit a large enough point I'm like a kid at Christmas. I just book it and re-enter on another swing. It is a game I'd like to learn though... and this may be a framework to help me.

Heya phaholj,

I have been watching Bob play with the laguerre notions. But haven't had a chance to really get into them and study it. Your signal looks very nice. I 'm all over that trade, but via plain old RSI, or price action. They all said the same thing.

Thanks for posting. Show us how it worked out.

I'll give it a shot, just need to find a pair that trends well at the moment.

Will have to use magic'nrs on this one, to avoid ITM getting in the way.
Also magic's will allow global close of 10's-100's of orders in the endgame using MPTM or something.
Anybody knows of an EA to change multiple SL on the same pair?

Agree - this would be a move into position trading and would require a different mentality. BUT how exciting that we have a system with NB 10.4 with which this could be possible.
