Q on this EA have been trading 10.4 manually (with small lot sizes) like the logic and fits my style of trend trading retracements on HTFs. However I am looking for semi auto system that can be managed with 1 hour each evening GMT 22-2300. So your EA looks great. Loaded it up the EA no prob mmm large number of pending trades immediately .. quite agressive. Anyway a couple of specific Questions:
1. Why did it take the AUDUSD trade while stoch did not bottem out? see pic it is the last stoch dip.
2. Note the high degree of negative figures is not representative of the perf. of this EA since I started it Friday lunch time !! on a demo I have not gone completely mad - However, I did see it taking trades where slope vales on daily were not great for strong trend CADCHF CAD-0.02 and CHF -0.27. Any comment?
3. Is there anyway of using this EA and or a variant to run a single pair backtest over 5 yrs? I tried and failed

What are your stoch setting?





The EA is coded to start placing stop orders if AO above 0 for a sellstop or stoch above 80 and AO below 0 for a buystop or stoch below 20

Hi I have kept the EA in default settings for my test and use the charts as per the 10.4 v1.01 or 1.02 templates - do you suggest alternative - and I do not immediately see opportunities for alternative stoch level settings.
Rules you state are as per my understanding ...with exception that you use AO for entry where as NB uses AO only for exits in 10.4. Does that not result in a higher freq of trading do you have any stats to back up this specific entry compared to stoch level?

ps the demo account is 5% up since Friday start up.. Encouraging so I am interested in understanding further before migration to live low risk account.

Yes, I've made quite a few changes and fixes, so I'll run the EA tomorrow and release version 1.07
if all the changes are ok.

Is there a version that will just run on 1 chart any where rather than Mullti. Would be nice to be able to run back tests.

Then try your back test, but back tests are only historical fundamentals and may never happen again, so if Iraq were invaded and we were trading oil, the back test would run over this event, that's my beliefs anyway.

This worked for me. Backtester ran ok. But exits need work. I didn't get a chance to try all the alternatives. Lots of interest and bright folks looking at this, so it should evolve quickly.

Andy, I'm seeing a large number of pending entries placed very close to the market price. When triggered, they instantly exit with the message "closed by BE function".

This is the similar to the open & immediately exit at market behaviour I saw last week, except this time closeWhenMarketReverse is set to false.

The exits should be +1 +2 Levels. They seem to be hard-coded. You can easily have a pending opening at R1, with your hard TP set at R1... no way for it to work without some different logic. Yet it could easily be a valid 10.4 trade that will go higher. Setting to S2/R2 might help. I'm sure it will get tweaked eventually. If I get a chance I'll pitch in and do it. Seems there are many, such as yourself, who are quicker.

For me, as long as it gets entries correct. I intend to close things manually as needed.
