First stop of the week. Money management is strict 2% on a 5K account. Entries by the EA which uses the stoch model. It took a very large position as we are so close to 240. This is not really that cool. But I am flowing with it for now. I may just size for a minimum ATR stop or something. Big when we are close to 240 and have maximum chance of getting stopped may not work well. It will pay handsomely when the trend resumes.... have to play it out and see.
Position entered on a Sunday, using last weeks pivots. It is a classic peeker, with immediate retrace. No chance to save it. It also occurs after a massive gap. SO if we had sized it smaller and let it breathe around the 240, there is a decent chance we may see the gap close and at worst a small profit.
I am not picking and choosing, as I want a fair picture of expectancy on the entries. I will manage them if they make it into profit. Otherwise the SL is there to let them breathe, the risk is known.
It almost survived, but not quite. Time to analyze some by the rules losers.

I modified Andy's ea, so it allows me to manage the trades after entered. It doesn't seem to catch all possible entries, but it is better than I would do. Max drawdown has been 3% with 7 trades open. I will massage it a bit and try and catch most or all legit trades.

Seems like the first entry would be at 1.4295 ??? And even there no RSI flat line but this pair is always kind of tricky!

The entry was at 1.4275 which was WR1, on SUNDAY. The broker is Cowboy IBFX to match Bob. As mentioned above and in the picture, the stoch template gave a clear entry signal. We will see a lot of trades like this. We will learn to avoid them, or just accept that it is 1 out of 100 and the system still has massive positive expectancy and we lose more by skipping signals than by just taking them.
I agree it is a somewhat useless trade. But if you have to rely on discretion, or Bob to post something to keep you out of a trade, then the system needs a tweak. Were I trading this more conservatively, I would have reduced size. And given it one level of room around the 240, so it would have space to bounce. I didn't read that anywhere in the manual.
To me we need a much larger sample size, not cherry picked trades by expert traders. I intend to find the conditions where I can trust this thing, just place the pendings and let it fly.

Hi, what I do when price is close to the 240 line is to put my S/L at a mid-level support or resistance line that is beyond the 240ma. This helps me to avoid ranging markets until price action decides where it wants to go. I don't do this blindly but when I feel that price will dip below/above momentarily have a S/L at the the next level helps to avoid losses...
