No, haven't tried Profiles much. I'll fool around with it.

What I probably REALLY need to do is to nail down a method and KISS.

Hey MurphyMan,

Profiles are definitely the way to go. I have Bob's templates on my charts & divided into 2 profiles. Only reason is 26 pairs on 1 chart may slow things down a bit, so I cut them into 2 profiles.

Easy way to change profile is to go to bottom of chart & click the current profile name. It gives a pop-up list so you can quickly select another profile. Or you can use keyboard shortcuts - Ctrl+F5 for Next & Shift+F5 for Previous.

That makes good sense, Bob, but I'm wondering how to tell (ahead of time) whether to trade a week as a trender (grab a signal and ride it all week) or a ranger (TP after 1 level, rinse and repeat). Do you have a way to judge that, or is it a discretionary call?

Everyone says the strength of this system is the single-level losses and the multi-level wins. So apparently it's not a good idea to always take the level-1 TP. How to decide when to TP, and when to let it run?

Distance from the 240 line and the number of pairs near it will give you a heads up. I am also looking at which pairs are weakest and strongest on the 10.4 info page and concentrating most of my trades on those cross pairs. It is hard to go wrong seeing gbp below the line and usd above the line and they are both the weakest and strongest for the week. So I can at them as my best trading groups. The ones near 0 are probably ranging and the least moving pairs. As I study 10.5 my theory MAY BECOME 10.4 for the weakest and strong pairs 10.5 for the ones in the middle. But that is theory for now and live testing starts this week.

How are you dealing with pending orders? I´m using Easyorder, and both Steve´s utilities ITM (EA and script) and the scaling script 1.4

Just trying to learn the practical use, but sometimes I feel as if i had a Magnum to shoot on small birds. Missing the full potential. It would be great a thread just related to "pending orders management and scaling strategies" for dummies. You can find information in Steve´s "thingies" thread but there are a mix of utilities there and sometimes (because of my ignorance) i feel a bit ashamed to make questions on EAs and scripts.

My dream is a very simple EA you drop in the chart, read the 10.4 situation and put the three levels orders taking care of BE. Anyone knows if such a wonder exits?

I keep on trying to dumb it down for myself, which is entirely appropriate. I really haven't had much luck getting the EAs to help, so I am striving to go more and more manual.

I find myself mostly using plain old Buy & Sell, the 10.4 Pending Order Placement script, and Scaling script v1.2. They are plain and simple. I also tend to fool around with Bob's Drag & Drop scripts.

I am monitoring the 10.4 EA thread in case they develop the holy grail, but I have say that manual trading has worked pretty well for me this past week.
